Mating Partner

Liam POV

I spent the last four hours drinking myself into a fool, but it didn't help. How was I supposed to accept this woman as my partner, future Luna, and then just take her home to fuck her until she was pregnant.

I wandered the long hallways of the mansion staring at each portrait of the Lycan's that lived before. Each painting had a short passage about their life and accomplishments.

It sucked to think that these Lycan's entire existence was summed up to one picture and four sentences. Was that all their life was for? It seemed pointless to even carry on in this world.

"Alpha Liam." Fraya was hiding in the shadows of an open door to a dark room. Normally I would be scared shitless to approach her, but after everything that happened with her daughter I didn't think she would show me any harm.

"Fraya" I nodded in respect to her.
