15. Lennox's Regret

Lennox still wanted Zoe back. Something I was expecting before. I totally got it. He perfectly showed me how much the woman mattered to him. He was vocal about it. The problem was me. I could not help myself but get affected by it.

“Why don’t you just tell your Father you are in love with someone else?” I suggested. Even if breathing was painful. Damn. How long will I continue to love this jerk despite him being clear on who he loved?

“Tell Father about Zoe so that he will die of a heart attack? No. He will know about Zoe if it is the right time.”

“When will you know if it is already the right time?”

He shrugged his broad shoulders. “Gut feeling, perhaps.”

“Good for you,” I said. “Congratulations in advance. I will be happy for you. The only problem is how you will tell your Father about it. If he is still alive by that time.” And during those times, I will disappear and will make sure Lennox and my path would never cross again. For good.
