16. Mess

My vision blurred as I made my way to Tate's room. My chest felt heavy as if a million needles were stabbing it.

Insensitive bastard.

When Lennox thinks he can no longer control me, he leaves me hanging.

He regrets bringing me here? Well, I also regret dancing at that club. If only I did not dance there, our paths would never meet again.

Plus, did he have to rub on my face that I was not loveable compared to Zoe?

Then, what about our agreement? Did he think I liked returning here? Damn him!

I did not know how I reached Tate's room while cursing Lennox in my mind. Until I realized I was already standing outside his room.

No one was in the hallway. No one saw me.

I sucked in a breath.

This was not the right time to be crying.

All I wanted was to speak with him, to unload this heavy feeling in my chest. Tate was a great listener. He had proven it to me when I was an omega of the pack.

I knocked on the door, and on the third knock, Tate welcomed me.
