CHAPTER SEVENTY-THREE: BROTHER

ANNIKA’S POV

The way Aries had been acting lately left me bothered. He was acting strange and it baffled me knowing that something might happen.

I was staring blankly, still thinking about it when Caspian’s car stopped in front of me. Timmy greeted me excitedly and I couldn't help but feel elated to see him.

“Hi, Ms. Annika!” he yelled.

I gave him a smile. Caspian opened the door for me. Without a word, I sat inside the front seat. Caspian then turned and opened the driver’s seat.

“Where would you like to eat?” he asked.

I didn't know if it was for me, so I didn't say anything. But then he glanced at me. I cleared my throat before looking at Timmy.

“I don't know. I'll just have dinner at home,“ I replied.

“Annika. . .please. . .” he begged.

I looked at Timmy, hoping he would say something.

“Yes, please. I want to have dinner with you too. I don't have Mommy beside me always, and sometimes, I feel like she doesn't want to be with me. It makes me feel lonely,” he shrugged.

My heart hurt
