Rick saw her dumbfounded expression, “What? Just go to Matilda and talk to her. You might like me, but you should not bother me while I’m working.” He said loudly. Maya could not believe what he was talking about. It was not even her fault that she was asked to go to the surveillance room when he was still working. 

Maya’s face reddened. “Not really. But... Sicilia, to be honest, I can’t afford it. I think I should just go look somewhere else if I really need to be at the party while you’re here getting yours,” she softly said as if she was on the verge of tears, and it was a given that Maya was poor. She still felt sad blurting it out. &ldquo

Her eyes then scanned the area to find Stephany. Where was that woman when there was a need for her? Maya thought to herself.

Alexander’s hand was still hanging in the air. He looked at her awkwardly at first as he put it down. It did not take long, however, before the sides of his lips slowly rise up. He was starting to feel entertained. “I can do it, see,” Maya regained her seat and started drinking in silence. She gave the bottle to Alexander, who took a sip as well.

While Alexander was busy thinking about his next date, Maya was thinking about her job as well.When Alexander decides to start dating, it meant that her job was done, but she still did not think about her next step. She was too engulfed in the life of the Knights she forgot her own.
