Meeting the Mountain Lizardmen Tribe
With the trio's attention firmly placed on him, Kirou spoke up, "My method isn't anything special, but I don't think anyone will be able to pull it off without a pet similar to Asura here." As Kirou said this, he ran his hand through Asura's fur, causing the badger mole cub to nuzzle its head on Kirou. The girls looked at the affectionate action between Kirou and Asura and couldn't help inwardly squealing at the scene. Reya was the one who got over it first as she spoke up, "What do you mean by needing a similar pet to Asura? Are you talking about its race specifically or something else, Mr. Wolf?" Kirou directed Asura to a few mineral resource points before continuing, "While I'm sure you could probably find other badger moles with the skill initially, I don't think you'll be lucky enough to get the skill needed on the first try from them since monsters tend to lose a few skills when they are tamed. Instead, I'm talking about creatures attu

Taking a Step Back Part 1*
The quartet was naturally stunned at the words of the lizardman. While the girls were stunned by the fact that an armed, bipedal lizard creature was capable of speech, Kirou focused on the words spoken by Draco Blade. 'Great Cave? Could it be that we might have unintentionally entered restricted territory?' thought Kirou as he glanced back at the cave entrance and the current surroundings. As if thinking that the players didn't hear him the first time, Draco Blade repeated himself a bit louder, "Outsides, have you entered the Great Cave?" This time, Kirou went to the front of his group as he spoke, "I'm not sure what this 'Great Cave' that you spoke of is, but if you mean this cavern right next to us, then the answer is yes." As Kirou answered, he noticed that the names above all the lizardmen before him flashed red (hostile) for the briefest moment before returning to yellow (neutral). The lizardmen

Taking a Step Back Part 2
All three of the girls looked at Kirou in confusion at his question. For them, while they knew about the NPCs having an affinity rating for each player, so far they haven't heard about anyone having an affinity rating of friendly with any NPC, much less a greater affinity rating. Thinking up to here, all three girls responded by shaking their heads. Kirou had somewhat expected this but seeing that neither of the three had managed to accomplish this, especially Reya whom he had traded materials with the first time, it seems that he should research that later on when he had time. That being said, Kirou displayed for them the stats of his fur coat and spoke, "This is an item I received from an NPC that I had a friendly affinity with, moments before it was raised to intimate. You tell me if it is a good item or not." Equipment: Camouflage Fur CoatEquipment Level: 10Equipment Type: Prototype (Unranked)Equipment Description

Brains Shutting Down- Sanming Edition
Kirou and gang only had to wait a dozen or so minutes later for the twenty-foot long snake boss finally bit the dust. Although he was originally interested in seeing them in action, Kirou quickly grew bored with how the group fought. That isn't to say that the team of players that the Sanming Sect sent up to deal with the boss were weak by any standard, as Kirou could clearly tell that these were all elite players. That being said, Kirou had no interest in the fight as he could tell that their movements had a bit of the system's guidance in it, meaning that they had set their gameplay modes to semi-auto. Kirou had no interest in seeing people being strong through such a method. With the fall of the Scarlet Eyed Boa, the mineral resource points in this section of the cave system started reappearing. Many of the sect's harvesters went forward to these resource points and got to work. Kirou only took a glance at this before walking forward to the place where Guardi

Spoils from the Large Snake*
Kirou and Navi walked in silence as they headed to the entrance of the underground cave system. It was a fifteen-minute trip but the duo spent the time walking. As they walked, Navi couldn't stop herself from asking, "Did you have to do that to Guardian Knight? Considering the focus and speed you employed, I'm sure you harvested a lot of materials." Kirou shrugged as he responded to her, "Your sect was lucky. I was able to obtain some extra materials mainly due to the size of the boss and setting up a few things ahead of time. It's not something that can be repeated too many times, especially now that the system caught me doing it already. If I had to guess, if I try that again, the corpse will directly vanish instead of slowly turning into particles of light." Navi covered her mouth in shock as she listened to those words. Although she should have been used to it by now, Kirou somehow still managed to pull off something to surprise her. She

<Overcoming the Bottleneck- Weapon Master (Advance)>
Appearing at the entrance to Elderwood Village, Kirou took some time to check out his current surroundings. Contrary to the hustle and bustle of players he saw when he had just started or even after the update, the village was now back to its rural village persona, with few players both entering and leaving at any given point. Kirou saw this and guessed that most players either grew tired of the quests here and opted to head to SC Pier City or they've gone even further and started making their marks on the other continents. To Kirou, this was a good thing as he needn't put up with the eyes of other players when he pulled out something extraordinary from his inventory. With this in mind, instead of rushing to Bladesmith as he originally intended, Kirou made a beeline towards the other NPCs within the village. Since he was nearby, he might as well make use of their facilities for his work. First on his list just so happened to be General Store Manager Almia, who h

Choice Made: Wires
Looking at the system prompt, Kirou sank into contemplation for a moment. As a formerly trained assassin, he has learned to use many weapons close to mastery level, but he never took that final step. While this can be attributed to him focusing on too many at once, thus making it hard to achieve mastery in each, it is also a fact that he never tried to achieve such a level with them as well. Thinking back, out of his entire arsenal, Kirou has truly only mastered the use of three weapons; his knives, the gunblade tonfa, and his wires, and the main reason for that was due to them being the very first three weapons he learned to use from his bastard master before he started to diverge his talents on other weapons. With all that thinking done, Kirou took a deep breath before releasing a sigh as he thought to himself, 'If I ignore the others, my main choices are just those three. That means I truly only have three chances to do this. Since that's the case, let's go w

Pulling a Prank on Bladesmith, Practice Begins
With the gloves in-hand, Bladesmith started examining every nook and cranny that he could find on them. He even went as far as trying them on himself to get a feel for it before taking them off and scrutinizing them once more. Kirou watched as Bladesmith did this without saying a single word or batting an eye. Kirou just watched as Bladesmith examined his gloves to his heart's content without getting into the senior weapon master's way. After scrutinizing the gloves for a few minutes, Bladesmith finally returned them to Kirou before speaking, "You definitely made another new weapon, lad. I've been around for a good while now and I've never seen another weapon master create a weapon as unique as this one. It looks like you've got a knack for these things." Kirou put on the gloves and cupped his hands towards Bladesmith before speaking, "Your words are too kind, Senior. This pair of gloves isn't anything new, as it was something that my master

Weapon Update, Secret Meeting
While Kirou was busy facing the grind that is his weapon mastery, that doesn't mean that he was the only one within his group currently doing so. On the northeastern end of the Southen Continent currently finds a player and his pet doing combat against a group of orcs. What was special about this combo was that the pet was a five-meter tall minotaur wielding two stone axes and the player was a mage with a medallion for a weapon. Naturally, this duo was the Arcane Summoner Mistaken Fox and his summoned creature, the Stone Axe Minotaur. Unlike his usual style of combat where he is on the front lines, Mistaken Fox was now standing at a distance, chanting continuously in an unknown language while the Stone Axe Minotaur was on the front lines, tanking the damage and occupying the attention of all five orcs. As the orcs struggled to deal with the Stone Axe Minotaur, Mistaken Fox kept launching arcane missiles in their direction, dealing large amounts of uninterrupted

Small Enlightenment, Warning
Somewhere to the south of Stone Mountain Range. The date has already changed since Kirou started working on his quest and he's now quite a good distance away from Elderwood Forest, where he originally started. Kirou was currently locked in combat with a few earth-attributed monsters that took the form of bulls. There were over twenty and with each charge, Kirou was forced to dodge wide as each bull had elongated horns on top of their heads. With that being the case, Kirou could no longer go it alone without the threat of him making a mistake growing, so he summoned out a few shadow clones, along with Tank to help him out. Unlike Mistaken Fox who could make use of monster medallions in place of actual weapons, Kirou himself wasn't able to make use of this trick so the system didn't stop him from taking out said medallion to summon out Tank. With each combatant now responsible for five bulls each, the somewhat intimidating herd lost its feroci
