Bottoms Up
SamIt wasn't long until we got to the restaurant Russell's sponsor had invited us to. We parked the car and made our way inside. It was Saturday night, and the place was pretty busy. People were sitting everywhere, with loud music going off; waiters and waitresses going from one place to the other holding either tray of food or drinks. The bar in the middle of the restaurant was also packed, playing the football game before the big Rose Bowl game to kick off the new year. Everyone at the bar was attentive to the game as they chugged down on beers and ate appetizers. Russell placed his hand on the small of my back, leading me toward the hostess. It was a young girl with blonde hair done in a nest bun, and pretty makeup was done naturally on her fair-skinned face, with long lashes masked in mascara. She wore the restaurant's shirt with black fitted jeans. She smiles seeing Russell and I near, placing her pen down. "Hi there, welcome to the patio at Rudy's how many are with your par

Who Is Andrew?
SamFred took a big gulp from his beer and then set it down, clearing his throat. "Now, remind me again, what percentage are you paying Russell after every fight?" he asks, making Andrew look up as his head was low, and his hand wrapped over his glass. He looked away, clearing his throat and sitting straight on his chair. "As I explained to Russell, he's a good fighter, but he's still a beginner. There's not much royalty I can give him now until I see how he performs. The more fights he wins, the more income eye will win." Uncle Fred lets out a scuff, chuckling sarcastically, "That doesn't answer my question. Now does it? If my boy is up there fighting, and not you!" he states the obvious, making Andrew look away, clenching his jaw. "I expect for you to give him not only a good amount worth his while but for this agreement between the two of you and your daddy," he raises his voice at the word daddy, making Russell look at him quizzically. Surely Andrew was a professional man and

He Needs To Know
Sam"Damn. What am I supposed to do now? Just when I thought things couldn't get any more complicated, Russell and I get thrown another curve ball. Fred looked at Andrew menacingly, then let go of his shirt and I knew I had to stay unseen. I quickly hid behind the wall on the back of a small tree and waited until they both left back to the table. I quickly went into the restroom, but honestly, I didn't have to go. I just wanted to step away and calm my nerves for a bit, so that's what I did.I went into that bathroom, that by the way was pretty nice. I took a few deep breaths, looked at myself, and laughed. I had to give it to the b9g guy up in heaven. He was really making things hard for us, not holding back one bit. I had a feeling things were not done being complicated, I just hope I can help Russell through it all. I shook my head in disbelief, placing my hands on either side of the sink, and sighed. "Ok, Sam. We can do this. Right? We... We can handle this. I mean, I doubt uncl

They're Gone
RussellThe truth is- As much as I wanted to be , as at my uncle from keeping this big secret from me, I can't. I am accountable for this as well, for I knew something was off. I had to be pretty stupid for me to not realize the similarities in their last name and the fact we did resemble each other. I wanted to act as if I was ok, but inside I was a mess. Even with my suspicions, I was still hopeful that everything was mere coincidence. How could this be? Andrew, really is my family. I have never heard from them since the day of my parent's funeral. He must have been a teenager at the time, while I had just turned ten years old, but I remember. I remember him and his younger brother, vaguely, but I can still somewhat recall them. I was still small, but I still remember. The big house, fancy clothes, dad working for Knight's enterprise. He was one of the best, always swamped with highly-stacked files in his office. I can still, though faintly, remember mom's beautiful scent. In my mi

You're Out of this Game
Third Person POVAndrew makes his way into his luxurious apartment, whistling as he opens the door and walks in, dropping his keys on the same spot over his table. "Nice to see you finally get home." he hears his dad's voice, making him jump in place after being startled. "Pops... Wh- what are you doing here?" he says, taking a step back. His dad, Caleb sits on the small recliner, with a glass of whisky in his right hand. Caleb takes a swig of the warm poison, hissing as he places the glass back on the small table next to the recliner. He stands, fixing his tie, and walks to Andrew, making his son worried. His expression was as cold as ever, with dark eyes, and teeth gritted. Andrew can only imagine the taste of blood as he hears his dad clenching his jaw. "The question is, what the hell have you been doing in, Andrew? What were you doing in California? I thought I told you to never... Ever look for that kid." "Dad, I, I, I don't know what you're talking about," he says taking a st

Mr. Knight
Third Person POV"Mr. Knight, your flight will be boarding soon sir, can I offer you another glass of wine, while you wait?" Caleb looks up at the flight attendant, smiling at her as she holds the bottle of Bordeaux. "Please, call me Caleb," he answers, giving her a wink. He knew she was easily his oldest son's age, but that has never stopped him from messing with a pretty face and curvy body. She smiles, blushingly, and slowly pours more Bordeaux into his glass flute. "Let me know if I can get you anything else," she says as she walks away, swaying her hips intentionally. He oozed with luxury, and of course, she had to take advantage of the situation. Before long, they were intertwined. Her legs wrapped around his waist as he sunk deep inside her. The bathroom was far too crowded, but it didn't bother him to pound inside her inside a filthy janitor's closet. It wouldn't be the first time either. He's always had any girl he wants. No one had said no to him. When he was done, he buckl

Show Them What You Got
SamI woke up to an empty bed at the hotel. Russell had probably gotten up early to go train. He's been training hard for the last three days non-stop. His uncle Caleb has been so harsh with him. He has a dirty mouth, cursing and yelling at everyone. He surely doesn't care about leaving a good impression on anyone. To make matters worse, Uncle Fred and Caleb have been eyeing each other with deadly stares. I don't get it, they're brothers. Family. Yet- they seem to despise each other. I was sure they had already faced each other somewhere else. I got a glance at the red mark on Caleb's left cheek, most likely from Fred's hook to his face. He of course played it off when Russell asked him about it. Told him to focus on his own problems if he wanted to keep his sponsorship.Fred kept it from us as well, brushing it off, and changing the conversation each time Russell brings it up. That was- until last night though. Andrew finally answered back one of many missed calls. We were out havi

Dissatisfaction
SamanthaI was eagerly waiting for Russell to come out of the dressing rooms. A big smile on my face as I see spectators ask for him, waiting on him to give autographs. I couldn't believe it. Is this really happening? I mean, I thought this wasn't a big fight, it was supposed to be just a small fight. The big show was still happening inside, yet so many people had gotten out of their seats to wait on him. He finally comes out, next to Uncle Fred and his uncle Caleb. Fred looked so happy. But I could see Caleb's fake smile. I've always been able to tell when people are faking it, and this guy was totally faking his happiness for them. I mean, I don't get it. What is his deal? Why can't he be happy for them? He hasn't seen Russell for years. Why can't he be happy that he finally has a chance to catch up with him? He's giving me a bad vibe, and I have a feeling he is going to give us a bad time."Get some sleep kid. I expect you back in Cali tomorrow afternoon for training. You did w

You're An Idiot
Sam (two days later)Russell and I slept the whole ride home, and he got to the new gym his uncle had requested him just in time. But he was exhausted. His new dear uncle Caleb did not make it easy for him either. He had him working out without rest the very next day. I haven't seen him much other than when he came to sleep last night, and he was up early this morning, working out again. As the hours went by and Russell continued to train, his uncle became more and more demanding. I was so mad I had to leave for a while. Besides the fact that I was starving. Russell was not willing to give up though. He took a few minutes to rest, ate a quick breakfast, and was back to the trainer. Time after time, Russell kept up with Caleb's demands and trained like crazy. Just hours into his training, he had been beaten up pretty badly, but he was willing to stick around. He was making a big impression on everyone. He had just fought days before, and he was still pretty roughed up, fresh bruises

She’s Too High Class For You
RussellPhoebe was still hugging Sam as we assured everyone that she was ok. Meanwhile, Uncle Fred and Russell gave their statements to the officer. "I would still like to have her come down to the station for a written statement if you don't mind." the officer told me, making me look at her worriedly. I was still pretty pissed off and if it wasn't for my uncle I probably would have kept punching the daylights out of Craig. I don't care who the hell he thinks he is. I will not allow him to keep bothering Sam and I will definitely not allow her to ever touch her again. "Very well, officer. I will take her myself if you don't mind," I say, looking back at the officer. They contemplate, making Sam look at me nervously. The last I need is to have her ride in the back of a police vehicle as if she were a criminal. "I'm sure there would be no problem. Make sure it's today though. I can't keep him unless you officially sign a statement to press charges against him." he says, making me gr
