40: Jayce
Do you plan to sleep forever? A painful throb pulsed throughout his skull as he stirred. A deep, guttural growl vibrated in his chest. His body ached as he withdrew from the darkness of his consciousness. His eyes fluttered open, only to snap shut from the blinding light. A high-pitched ringing sounded in his ears that intensified the throbbing pain in his head. It gradually softened until it was non-existent. A gentle beep replaced the ringing. Rhythmic. He eased his eyes open, now prepared for the light. His vision slowly cleared at the edges. As it cleared, the suite came into view. The blinds pulled aside to let in natural sunlight. The faint singing of birds from the surrounding forest. Thin fabric caressed under his arms as he shifted his body slightly. His muscles pulled and pushed as he barely moved an inch. Easy. You'll pull every muscle in your body if you move too quickly. The strangely familiar voice in the depths of his mind surprised him. It was rare to hear her. "A-

41: Lily
A calm melody drifted through her subconsciousness. The gentle breeze caressed her cool cheeks and whistled sweetly past her ears. It was enough to stir her awake from the depths of her slumber. Lily's eyes fluttered open and met the blanket of stars high above her. She sat up, her fingers brushed across the soft grass around her. Small patches of wildflowers lay scattered about this field she found herself in. As she pushed herself to her feet, her ears picked up on the humming that had invaded her sleep. Her head swiveled to the right and noticed a woman across the field. Though distant, there was this strange warmth and familiarity to her that Lily couldn't put her finger on. Curiosity drew her closer to this stranger. The grass beneath her feet hardly made a sound as she crossed the open field. As she did, her eyes swept this unfamiliar landscape around her. To the far south was the first row of trees into a dark forest. To the north were towering mountains that lined the horizo

42: Lily
A bright light blinded her when she opened her eyes. She expected to be in the same field alongside Ariel. Then came the soft, rhythmic beeping. She recognized it almost immediately. Her visits to the hospital engraved in her mind through the years. Her vision cleared little by little. First around the edges before moving inward. The familiar ceiling. Her fingers spread out over the soft quilt that lay across her body. The firm mattress underneath her. It had been a decade since she last laid in this bed. Her eyes, now adjusted to the morning light that peaked through the veil curtains, scanned the room carefully. Heart monitor. IV bag. An empty bed beside her. Her nostrils flared slightly. His scent still lingered from it. "Azura..." Her voice was hoarse as she barely managed a whisper. "Azura?" I am here. Her Wolf's voice felt distant, however. Recovering. Resting. We're safe. He's safe. Lily opened her mouth to speak again, but felt her Wolf withdraw into the depth of

43: Erica
Damion lay upon the infirmary bed before her, sickly pale and sweating from a persistent fever. Her eyes continued to drift to the blood-stained bandages around his shoulder. Everything happened so quickly. When Zalakai chopped off his arm with that ominous axe, she couldn't move. Couldn't speak. There was so much blood. His yells muffled before fallen silent as he lost consciousness. Everyone was in a rush, yet time felt still. All of these powerful beings hovered over him, but not one person checked on her. His Mate. Now that everything had calmed down, but her thoughts were in a chaotic mess. Her emotions unstable. All it needed to take was one single phrase. A single word or action for her mind to explode. "Damion!" Her voice rang through the room as the door to the infirmary burst open. Erica's eyes snapped to Lily as she entered the room, her Mate close behind her. Concern lit up her best friend's eyes at the sight of Damion in the bed. Damion stirred ever so slightly at the s

44: Aiden
When word got back to him that Erica had hit Lily, this strange, unsettling rage fueled within him. Even though he's a Rogue with no alignment to either King or Queen, his Wolf seemed to say otherwise. As the following morning came, he remained deeply troubled by it. "They are ready on their end." Amira spoke up as she closed her laptop. "Leyla has the Hunters on standby and your mom has the Pack, somewhat settled. Though, hearing that the King was paying a visit definitely didn't..." She paused. "What's wrong?" "Nothing." He mumbled as he sat on the edge of the bed. "They're anxious. I can't say I blame them." "They're not the only ones." She mentioned. The chair scratched against the wooden floor as she got up and walked over to him. "You've been out of sorts since Jayce told you what happened to Lily yesterday." "You know, I don't like that you can read my mind." He said. Amira half smiled as she stood in front of him. "It still bothers me." "I know it does." She said. She br

"Do we have to go to?" Myra whined as Lily helped Zylar get into his jacket. "Yes, you do." She told her. "Your father and I would feel better with you three tagging along, and who knows... Maybe you'll make some friends while you're there." Lily looked over at her. "Or a future Mate." "Ew." Myra's face twisted in disgust. "Gross." "Agreed." Jayce added. "Gross indeed." He side eyed Lily. "Don't put thoughts into her head. She's only eleven." "I was only teasing." She mumbled as she zipped up Zyrus's jacket and turned to Sylar. "However, making friends still wouldn't be a bad idea." "Let's make sure that everyone that will be present will be accepting." Aiden said as he, followed by Amira, descended the stairs with their bags in hand. "Just because I gave them a heads-up that we will be arriving with additional guests, doesn't mean they were all too happy about it." "Lymeria is a good peace keeper." Amira stated. "There's also Winston, the Beta." "Although he was pretty a

46: Jayce
Jayce adjusted the collar of his button up, loosening it from his throat. The awkward tension in the room was suffocating. After their arrival to Aiden's community, Aiden and Winston led the group to their community center where a meeting room was set up for them. Except, it didn't feel or appear like the normal meeting rooms Jayce was accustomed to. There were two map layouts on one wall. One larger map of the United States with red pins scattered across, ranging from the lower end of California to the outskirts of New York. Amidst those red pins were fewer black pins. If he had to guess, the black pins signified Dark Witches while the red were the Undead they were rising. A smaller map rested beside it of a blueprint of the community he was currently in, along with what appeared to be a nearby town. He recalled Amira mentioning of a small town where she had originally met Aiden, Darlow. Now to be non-existent in its previous residents minds. On the back wall was an array of weapon

47: Dante
The tension in the air was sickeningly thick as he, Aiden and Jayce walked the dirt roads of Aiden's community. A Rogue town with no name. Far off the winding path of society. Dante had walked many roads like this one. In every direction, an endless passage. Such was his immortal fate. Immortality. For the longest time, the word was only just a word to him and held no significance. He watched many civilizations rise and fall. Buildings crumbled on either side of him. The sun and moon constantly shifted in the skies, but time remained effortlessly still yet forever moving forward with him. He had all the time at his disposal only for it to be forever wasted on his greedy tendencies and frivolous style of living. But time finally seemed to slow down when he met Willow. His dear, sweet Willow. So youthful and wise with centuries of Magic and knowledge coursing through her veins. Many women had stood before him. Many women have lain beneath him. There was no woman like Willow, however.

48: Myra
These woods were not like the ones behind her home. The trees were thin with barely a leaf holding on. Even with it being late into the autumn season, the trees were barren. The young girl stood at the edges of the tree line on the outskirts of the community. The muffled sounds of the children playing behind her. Her brothers shifted and wrestling with one another. To meet with the Rogue pack should have left them reeling, but it didn't. Perhaps it differed from their perspectives. That maybe the Rogues didn't seem so different from themselves. She could get along with the other children perfectly fine. Joking and playing as if they were just cousins they haven't met because of their distance. Even though that was the case for her, she knew it wasn't so simple for her parents. Especially being the Werewolf King and Queen amidst a pack of Rogue Wolves."What are you looking at?" A small voice reached out to her. Myra looked over her shoulder to find a few children around her age had

Blood dripped from his hands. The deafening silence of the crowd that surrounded him was earsplitting. The mangled corpse of the man lay crumbled at his feet, a pool of dark red blood gathered beneath him. Astonished and fearful gazes peered into him, judging him. "You killed him..." A small child whispered. He peered over at the young girl dressed in dirty rags with her mother standing behind her. Freckles dotted the young girl's cheeks and nose, her dirty red hair a tangled mess, yet relief reflected in her eyes.---"How could you?!" A powerful voice thundered around him, forcing him to his knees. "You killed a mortal!" "I killed an abuser! A molester!" He argued in turn. "That is not your call to make." The voice countered back. He tried to peer up at the commanding presence, but was overwhelmed by the sheer force of it. "You are a Guardian. You are only meant to protect the innocent!" "I protected the child!" He retorted. "I did what I believed was right." "You're an Angel.
