Back to where I once came from
Stress settles on my shoulders as I realize I must be responsible for not only myself, or Caia, but now Nova. And she was treating it like it was a trip. Val was no help but to be fair she had other things to worry about. And Nova admitted that she did have a way to hide my facial features from the cameras of Main City; I simply had to trust her. Which I did. Somewhat. And then Nova insisted that one person DID have to come with us; the person that didn't want any part of this whatsoever; Zomb. I'm going to be honest, I couldn't see how much help she would be, since she detested both since everything that she had gone through. Another thing was she rarely left her room, Nova would either have to use magic to get her out or something else. Caia didn't really seem to care who all went as long as we were going. Every time Nova spoke, Caia's face went blank, and she'd click her tongue, bored. Nova tried her best to ignore her, but I could tell she was having dif

Part II: Celia
"The world is cruel, and takes and takes and takes. It's when you realize that you have nothing left to take, that you realize they will figure out how to take more."- M.G. Perez Celia has metal canines in her mouth. They click when she closes her mouth, and shine when she flashes them at any light. She hates them. When they first inserted them in her mouth, yanking out four perfectly good teeth, and placed them in, her cheeks swelled up, and instead of looking intimidating, she looked like a chipmunk with chubby cheeks for a week. And when the swelling went down, she picked at the canines, wishing she could yank them out with her fingers. She soon realized she couldn't, when they began to monitor her more closely, they being the scientists. They keep Celia in a dog kennel cage made for Great Danes. It's big enough for her to walk around, and sleep on her side. A small hole is in the corner of the cage where she can relieve herself, and flimsy toilet paper on the side. But lik

The life she leads now
Dr. Rogers deemed her ready for the missions. It had been three weeks since the enhancements had been added to Celia. As he was drawing up her anatomy, and then her bone structure, heels clicked against the floor. He didn't need to turn to know who it was, but she didn't say anything, until he zoomed out on the bone footage of Celia. "What do you want, Astra?" he asked, pulling out his tablet from the charger, and typing some notes in it. "She won't make it, you know." Astra said, her blonde hair with gray streaks braided to the side. She wears the usual lab coat, black shirt tucked under gray dress pants and white heels. Her steel gray eyes were cold and hard, lines appearing on her face. Dr. Rogers always admired that she had never decided to partake in cosmetic surgery. She was aging perfectly, and in another life, he would try to court her. However, he still suspected she had something to do with Lu being able to escape. He didn't care what the Courts

Hunting spree
When she trains, she remembers how at first she didn't like to kill. How the people that came in, despite the crimes they committed, she wished no harm on them, especially from her. But now when they have her do it, she goes into a trance, pushing the real her into the farther corners of her mind. Nothing really snaps her out of it; not even the splashing of warm blood on her face if she isn't careful. She stretched her arms out, taking even breaths as the new enemy appeared into her observation room. It was more of a gym, secluded from the rest of the people, with a onew way mirror glass lining up all around it. Sometimes, the scientists watched her form the other side, making sure she never hesitated to give the killing blow. She almost never did. This time though, they had her doing something different. They placed on an adhesive glove with small pockets at the fingertips. She looked at one of the people that were placing it on in confusion; they were

Healing stage
They lift Celia up like she's a sack of meat, her skin peeling off into the Handler's gloved hands. She cries out, and bares her canines, but they have her muzzled, the manacles dragging her out of the tub. Using a chain that connects her manacles to is, she's tossed on a metal table. It's agony to lay down, the texture of the blanket rubbing her slow healed body. A doctor walks in, holding a needle that glistens in the distance, and Celia's eyes widen in horror. It is the biggest fucking needle she had ever seen. If she fights, it will hurt. If she doesn't move, she will get a giant shot inserted in her arm. She cries, the salt in her tears hurting her face. The doctor shows no emotion as she plunges the needle into Celia's arm, a sudden cold feeling spreading throughout Celia's entire body. Numbness creeps along, and an exhaustion overcomes her. She closes her eyes, and sleeps. "What have you done?" A voice says, making her eyes open. She's not sure if she's awake or asleep, b

Observe
This was a disaster. Astra stared through the glass, a frown on her face. Dr. Rogers was typing on his tablet, rubbing his temple. Celia had managed to escape. There were dead bodies piled everywhere and she managed to run away. Astra waited for Dr. Rogers to say something, anything. Instead, he slammed the tablet down, ripping off the glasses from his face. "I just had to send the team out to find those wanted fugitives WITHOUT the weapon they demanded, and the Director is on my ass now!" he shouted, his hand going towards the tiny black remote. He glared at Celia through the glass, and Astra placed her hand over his, holding it in place. "That won't help you any." She said softly. Annoyed, Dr. Rogers ripped his hand away, muttering swear words. "I have to break her in some more." He replied, walking over the scattered remains of the tablet. Pulling out a new one, he was typing in it, frowning in concentration. Astra sighed, wiping her palms

Mistakes were made
Astra knew she messed up. She struggled to get up, gagging at the sight and smell of blood. A man was screaming in agony at the loss of his foot, she stood on shaky legs. This wasn't how the plan was supposed to go, and in the hallways, she could hear Dr. Rogers panicking as he couldn't put Celia done with the shock collar. What hell have I gotten into now? she thought, limping to the doorway. There was a stand off going on, Celia's eyes red with frenzy, and from the distance, Astra swore she saw a drip of blood drip down from her eye. Was Dr. Rogers still shocking her? A sudden burst answered her question, as the everyone in the hallway went flying. She watched in horror as Celia grabbed Astra's lab coat, and took off, running around the corner. A guard, struggling to his feet, grabbed his weapon, getting ready to shoot at, another person slamming the guard down. It was Dr. Rogers, and he was screaming into his face, a wild punch knocking the guard out. The s

Part III: Jonathan
The sky is cloudy, and gray, the "smell" of rain in the air. It was crazy how I could tell from real and to what's not. Zomb, Caia, and Nova are behind me, Zomb's eyes scanning the area nervously. She doesn't look scared which means there shouldn't be anything to be worried about. Entering Main City had been difficult, the city knowing Caia, and sending out an alert to all Officers on duty. Zomb is busy looking out for them, as we enter in the territory of no point in return. Caia looks calm, focused, Nova clumsy. She's not use to so many rules, and how she has to jump away from the public eye. I will admit, Main City has changed in the years since I last lived in it. The buildings have overtaken most of the land, so high, I'm surprised they don't touch the sky. Cars fly now, and I watch as a building0 builds itself. Main City has advanced alot in technology, and I smile a bit. But then I remember Celia, and the bubbling anger returns. During the trip, Zo

Just you and I
Caia and I are quiet for a long time, as she looks in the distance, her eyes far away. I want to say something but decide against it; I don't have much to say.As we sit atop the building next to each other, Caia begins to talk, saying that she was from the poor side of Main City, saying she tried her hardest to get ahead in life. She had studied her ass off, attempting to pass all of her classes to move on forward, her motivation being her family.Caia cleared her throat as she began to talk about the night she had gotten kidnapped. She had been getting ready for her last test that would determine if she would be a Official, or a Peacekeeper. Caia hadn't really cared about the title, only cared about the credits she would get. Both paid enough to get her out of the slums of the poor side of Main City, and as her mother's health was declining, and her father was killing himself in doing risky jobs for a small sum of money, Caia thought it was her time to step up. And step

We are the hunted
Zomb lead the way, following her nose. She said she could sniff out danger a mile away, and I felt like we should have taken her a bit more serious. As the slums grew further away, and we snuck into the property line where middle classes lived, I could feel my anxiety growing. Zomb stopped though, and her left eye twitched. "Something happened." she murmured, and she looked around again. I was curious to know what she meant, but at the same time, I could feel my pulse rising, the muscles in my stomach pumping as my body filled itself with adrenaline just in case. Nova looked afraid, and it was only Caia who remained calm, a blade glinting in the palm of her hand. I tried to recall all the training I had gone through as a child, silently cursing myself thatI had gotten us into this mess. Without saying anything, Zomb shoved us forward with a hard push, pointing that we shoul run forward, in a direction away from Main City. I wanted to argue, but her eyes were slitted
