41 : fifth day, tea from the potions master
The two high priestesses entered the small cottage with unusually hesitant steps. Dhara continued to mutter more and more protective spells through her teeth. With each additional step she took, the witch realized that she was nearing the end of the list of magical barriers she knew. On the other hand, Darya had to hang on to her sister's arm. She was immensely grateful to Dhara. Out of the corner of her eye, she could see the runes etched on her sister's skin glowing and taking on new places as she cast protective spells around them. The two witches took their seats on one of the two large sofas facing each other on the first floor, while Bianca stood in front of the additional sofa. "Can I get you something to drink?" she asked the two women with whom she had become friends. "Nothing, for now, thank you, B.," replied Dhara. "Anyway, we won't be long, and I don't think we're in a position to linger much longer." Bianca looked surprised and t

42 : get out
Bianca had rested the back of her head against the sofa, and she had kept one hand resting on Black's thigh while the other rested on the seat. She mumbled aloud as she stared at the ceiling. "Bonjour. My name is Bianca. But, my friends call me B. No, that's not short for Bianca. It's the first letter from Bitch." Black leaned forward and grabbed the leather pouch with his fingertips. His nostrils twitched as he smelled the pungent odor that emanated from it. _Get that thing out of here," complained Mr. Wolf. The animal was lying on the ground. And he had put a paw on its nose to avoid smelling the scent. Black slowly looked up at the two women sitting before him. The two high priestesses recoiled slightly. Dhara cleared her throat, declaring, "We'll be leaving now." "Ah?" replied Bianca. "Already?" Darya had to quickly put a hand over her lips to hide the trembling. "Yes. Don't forget, one hour of brewing, Bianca." The pla

43 : a tea infuser
"You really need to be careful with your words, Love.", Black whispered against Bianca's lips. "Oh? Did I say something wrong?" she asked, surprised. "French pussy," he simply replied. Bianca frowned, not understanding what was wrong with that. She cocked her head to the side and searched for ways in which the term pussy was incorrect. "I... don't understand... isn't pussy the word for a female cat in English?" she muttered, looking from left to right. Mister Wolf rolled onto his back. He could not stop laughing after Bianca's question, and especially her candid look. Their mate looked totally clueless. _ Mate is adorable. Mate can keep saying pussy! Black nodded, and an amused smile played on his lips. "Let's say pussy is a little too crude. It can mean vagina in English... which isn't completely wrong in this case. But, I don't think that's what you mean. And, there are many other terms, Love." Bianca raised her hand to her lips and ne

44 : I inherited cats
Bianca began to stand on her tiptoes to place a kiss on Black's lips when he lifted her to sit on one of the kitchen counters again. The Alpha came to stand between the legs of his soul mate and kissed her tenderly. _Ah-Whoooo! Let's take our time! We didn't get to enjoy Mate to the fullest last night," yelped Mr. Wolf, wagging his tail happily. Bianca had to quickly put her hands behind her on the icy countertop to keep her balance. Then she laughed as Black kissed her neck, moving down to her chest. She had decided to let him lead since he had not ceased to say "slowly" last night during their preliminaries. The young woman was satisfied while kissing the mass of her lover's black hair, while he paid homage to his body. Black came to lean against her, showing her the effect she provoked on him. Then, with a calculated delicacy, he laid Bianca down on the counter's marble. Finally, he had instinctively placed his hands under the thighs of his Luna to be

45 : an arrangement
Beta Duncan was the one who knocked on the door. He worried about not having his Alpha and Luna in the pack house this morning. Alpha Black was notorious for never showing up or responding to invitations. However, Duncan suspected that the Mad One would want to appear at breakfast for one simple reason: to show off his Luna at his side. * * * Bianca had had to put back the denim pants she'd worn earlier. She had then passed a simple white t-shirt which she had supplemented by a long black cardigan that arrived to her knees. _ Mate looked so much better in our shirt," Mr. Wolf grumbled. Bianca had pulled her hair up into a french bun with the pins from the night before. However, she felt her hair fall to the small of her back as she reached for her shoes. She turned quickly. She raised both hands to hold her hair back and glanced at the floor to look for the pins that had escaped. Bianca

46 : table manners
Black had felt Bianca move to almost hiding behind him. They had finally entered the enormous dining room of the Moon Crescent pack. Bianca seemed to tense up as she discovered how many people were there. Black had heard her mutter, "Why are there so many people? We're late...there should be fewer people." Bianca grabbed the bottom of Black's long-sleeved shirt with her fingertips, seeking reassurance, as she was unintentionally arousing the curiosity of those around. Besides, she was the reason why all these people were still here. Some had bet that the Mad One would not come to the common dining room, that he would stay true to his reputation of never mixing with others at festive events. Others bet he would come for his Luna, who would undoubtedly want to get to know the other wolves. No one suspected that Bianca would have preferred to stay in the little cottage and that she had come out only to please him. The other people looked at each

47 : two incomplete souls
Bianca had just taken the last bite of her plate. She was relieved to have finally finished eating and hoped to be able to leave the place soon. Since she had taken the last sip of her cup of coffee, her thoughts had been on Rosy. It was Sunday, and she had hoped to spend the day with her. However, she suspected that this might be a problem for Magnus, and she hadn't had time to talk to him about it yet. She also didn't know what reaction she would get when telling him she wanted Rosy back. In front of them, the Alphas were talking in a deceptively civilized and courteous manner. Some of them had sought validation of their words from Black, but he had merely nodded in response. The implied threats and the clenching of jaws had not escaped the young woman. What seized her the most was how all the people present behaved towards Magnus. They all seemed to admire and fear him at the same time. Scarlett had tried to talk with

48 : permission
Black gritted his teeth. In his mind, he could see Mister Wolf, a pair of black glasses on his nose, lit by a spotlight. The animal seemed to be wagging its eyebrows defiantly, and it had its tongue hanging out to the side and was giving him a devastating goofy smile. _Excuse me, kiddo. Mate wants to talk to me. It would be best if you got out of here. "No way am I giving you the reins." Mr. Wolf shook his head vigorously, causing his glasses to fly off. _But you have no right! It's against the rules! Mate wants to see me, ME! HER MISTER WOLF! Bianca gasped slightly as she heard growls leave Black's throat. At the apologetic look on the Alpha's face, she responded with a big smile. "Oh, la la! Are you two talking to each other?" Black let out a deep sigh before nodding. "Yes. But, trust me, it's a terrible idea to let him take control, Love." Bianca cocked her head to the side. "Why?" _ Do tell us, Black! WH

49 : my turn
Alpha Asher rested his head against the back of his leather office chair. His eyes, covered by an opaque veil, were raised to the ceiling. The ash-blond-haired Alpha had immediately connected with his entire pack after receiving a message from his Luna. The information he was rushing to convey was simple: the Mad One was going to give control to his wolf for an indefinite time. The pack was forbidden to set foot within the cottage perimeter allocated to them. Avery, his Beta, had rushed out of the office to warn the other packs that had come especially to celebrate Luna Scarlett. As soon as he had finished informing the other Betas, he hurried back to his Alpha. Avery had found Asher, elbows resting against his desk and forehead pressed against his interlocking fingers in front of him. "Is everything okay, Alpha?" the Beta asked. "Yes, I just hope Scarlett will be back long before Alpha Black leav

50 : bonjour,…
(Bianca) OH. LA. LA. Okay. I think my request was a big mistake. Magnus's green eyes had just now turned bright red. I can't help but bite the inside of my cheek to keep from laughing at the thought of my Mate's wolf having acute conjunctivitis. Strangely enough, I'm not afraid. But, I can't deny that the wolf's presence is far more imposing than the human's. I mean, Magnus is already frankly imposing and dominating, but here, we are entirely on something else with the animal. I remain sitting, kneeling on the sofa while holding my breath. It's completely crazy the effect my Mate has on me. On the other hand, I thought I would be more in control if Magnus let his wolf take the lead. However, that was a mistake. A terrible mistake. I understand their stories about soul mates completing each other a little better. I feel as connected to the man as I do to the animal, and I find that downright incredible.
