XANDER'S POV It was shocking and how it all happened, too sudden. One minute, I had been in my study minding my business after Laurel terrorized my door and the next minute, I was underneath her and receiving kisses right in her room. To think I had actually gone there to see what it was that was causing her to scream so loudly and had discovered how dumb she was to have put off her light and probably bumped her leg somewhere. XANDER'S POV Nicolette had begun shivering and I was growing both worried and impatient. I had to draw her even nearer into my arms as I could not fathom what else to do. Why on earth would she be contemplating suicide as a way out. I had imagined that she was stronger than this and could take the situation head on but apparently, I should have lowered my expectations. I really was confused but in all, I just wanted her to get back to normal. I knew Laurel was still right outside my door because she had angrily banged against my door and all I had heard her recline against the door. I told myself that she would be tired of her games tonight and go to bed.
