Cameron's POV..."Cameron!" I heard mom call from downstairs, getting my figure off the bed at once, with low grunts escaping my lips. Now, what exactly was I needed for?It was 12 noon, at least I should be given the chance to sleep in, whenever I pleased to.I got downstairs soon enough, and there in the living room, was mom, talking to one of the maids. They both turned to me the instant I walked in, gazes lingering on my figure, while I gave a low yawn, moving towards the couch. "Cameron, I need you to watch over David, while I go to the office" Mom spoke."Why do I have to watch him?" "Cause it's your fault he's in that situation" She stated.I had no explanation as to why I covered up for Nia, but I just did, knowing fully well that if I hadn't, mom would have fired her, and part of me didn't want that. I couldn't let that happen. "Make sure he eats his lunch, and takes his medications" She said aloud. "Since when did I become a doctor?" I uttered at once. She turned to

I found a crowd packed right in front of her house, as I pulled up. Murmurs coming from the people around, while they went on about something I couldn't understand. Their eyes lingered on my figure the whole time, as I got down from my car, proceeding towards Nia's house. Just about going in, a man stopped me, his form blocking my entry.Taking a look at the man, I took notice of all that came with him. Hair grey, beard long and white, with teeth crooked, his features got me staring on. He reached his hands out to touch my arms, and at once, he spoke, hands shaking in the process. I steadied him up as he almost lost his balance, while he shook his head slowly, looking up at me. "Young man" He began in a croaky voice"who are you?" He questioned."Cameron" I responded almost immediately, with my eyes fixed intently on him."Cameron" He repeated, pronouncing it like there was something interesting to the name."And who are you here to see, if I may ask?""Uh....Someone" I uttered t

And right at that moment, I stood frozen to the spot, my feet turning numb as my eyes rested on the figures of some doctors moving around. It was certain that I wasn't in anyway prepared for whatever they were going to tell me. Soon enough, I felt a pair of hands resting on my shoulders, touching me gently.Turning around, I found Cameron looking at me, his blue eyes staring on at me."Are you okay?" I heard him mutter in a very low voice. "How are preparations going for grad?" Ashley questioned, while we both stayed in the dining area packing up the dishes. "I don't think I'm prepared for it" I said to her. In all honesty, I wasn't, I tried not to think of graduation and college. All I wanted was just to get the best of this year, and ace my exams. "I mean, we just got into senior year. We still have months left" I uttered. "That's true" She stated."But that's not gonna stop us from getting our dresses now that it's still early" She added. I chuckled lightly, rolling my eyes at her while we remained clearing the whole place up, packing all dishes into the kitchen sink. "I'm home!" A voice called from the living room, causing Ashley to turn to me with wide eyes and open lips. "Jordan's back from college" She squealed, hurrying out of the kitchen, leaving me to my confusion. Wiping my hands with a towel, I followed behind, proceeding into the living room to have a look for myself what the whole excitement was al

I just got bored and decided to find something doing, which was what prompted me to come over to the kitchen and do the dishes. "Hey" I heard a voice from behind. I jolted in fear, then turned to see Cara moving towards me. "I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to--" She apologized. "Oh, It's fine" I replied with a smile. She drew nearer to me and without saying a word, she began assisting me. "Thanks" I said to her. She gave me a smile while she rolled her jacket sleeves up, then grabbed an apron from the rack. "That's a beautiful ring" I uttered while acknowledging the beauty of the diamond ring which sat perfectly on her finger. A smile grew on her lips as she looked at it."Jordan really went all the way out for the engagement" She sighed."I have no idea how much he spent on the ring" "Well, you deserve it" I said to her immediately. "Thanks a lot, Nia" She gazed into my
