CHAPTER TWENTY-ONE
Alpha Haden“Haden,” Zaryn called out to me during the full moon celebrations.“Darling,” I faked a smile at her as she walked towards me and gave me a kiss in front of everyone. The kiss irked me, but I couldn't show it. Zaryn had made sure to assume ownership of me in front of a crowd every time, and everyone in the pack already knew that I and Zaryn were mates. Sometimes when she would do the whole ‘public display of affection’ in front of people, I would be so tempted to confess to everybody around saying “ She is not the one!” The thought of actually doing that made me chuckle a bit and she noticed.“Why are you laughing?” she smiled as she asked me, her hands placed on my chest as she rubbed on it.“I'm happy, I just realised again that you belong with me,” I replied to her. I learnt that with Zaryn all you need to do is praise her and assure her marriage, that alone keeps her happy. When I said that, I saw her blush shyly, before she howled in excitement, grabbed my face, and l

Chapter Twenty-Two
TasyraIt had been one week after Fagel's shameful banishment and I still felt guilty and lonely. All the other slaves and servants had avoided me like a plague. Nobody wanted to get into trouble because of me. The absence of Fagel weighed heavily on my heart, and the guilt I felt didn't seem to fade. The Luna had increased my workload and reduced my food rations, so I was always tired and looking older than my age. Hunger had become my close companion and dry throat a usual thing. There was no one to turn to, no comforting voice to ease my burdens, no one to care about me. I had dismissed every idea of escaping, I didn't want to face the wrath of the Alpha.I still remember what the Luna did to me and Fagel. She had ordered that no one mention Fagel's name in the pack again or under the night sky shimmering under the full moon's glow if not they would be cursed. As for me, she decreed, “I Liane, the Luna of the Moon Rock pack, decree absolute solitude upon the unworthy slave Tasyra.

Liane“Mother, I do not understand why you threw Tasyra in prison and kept it a secret from me all this time. I need to know the truth” That was my son Haden questioning me. After the exile of that worthless pig called Fagel, Haden had not spoken to me. I know he was angry that I did not tell him about Tasyra in prison, but what I did not understand was if he was also angry that I decided that Fagel should go rogue. He had avoided me after the series of events that happened. And now for the first time talking to me, it is about Tasyra. Although I missed my son's presence, hearing him speak to me about Tasyra made me angry, unapologetic and unyielding to speak. “Haden, I don't owe you any explanations. Tasyra's actions had consequences, and I did what I had to do to protect our family,” I eyed him.“Protect our family? How does imprisoning her protect our family? I've been searching for her all this time, thinking she was missing or worse. Why would you do that?” He fumed“Tasyra go

Chapter Twenty-Four
Alpha Haden The fire was crackling and the moon was bright. The smell of fresh grass that had been cut before dusk still filled the air. As the gentle breeze patted my skin. I sat by the side of the fire, absorbing the warmth and mindlessly throwing dirt into it. Earlier that day, after asking my mother about Tasyra, I was lured by Zaryn's charms into the garden.“I know you're upset about Tasyra,” Zaryn had said to me, “but I think you're placing too much importance on her. Other things are worth your time and energy.”I stopped walking and turned to look at Zaryn. “What other things are worthy of my time?”Intensely she replied “I am”Immediately she uttered that, I turned and left.“I am your Luna-to-be,” she ran after me. “We are supposed to spend time together,” she got to me and held my hand.Although l was not interested in whatever conversation she was beginning to start, she was still able to fascinate me with her charms. Zaryn was soft and convincing when it came to speak

Alpha Haden “Gaya, please talk to me. I miss you so much.” I pleaded with Gaya. He had been giving me the silent treatment ever since our argument in Zaryn's room.Back then, during the sex and discussion with Gaya, I had felt a surge of emotion as I listened to his convincing advice to choose Tasyra over Zaryn. I felt his love and support, but I also felt my fear and denial. I didn't want to face the consequences of choosing Tasyra and risk looking weak in the eyes of my pack. I didn't want to go against their expectations too.“No, Gaya! No. You're wrong. She's an omega! She's bad luck! She would bring disaster to the pack and me! She'll make me weak and I'll lose everything! Zaryn is the right choice!’ I replied to himI heard Gaya growl again in my head. I felt his anger and disappointment. “Stop lying to yourself! You don't love Zaryn. You would be unhappy. Don't waste your life, go to Tasyra” I felt a wave of confusion and guilt as I heard Gaya's words. I felt Gaya's truth an

Tasyra“If you do not do as I say, there will be consequences,” the Luna hissed at me, “I will kill both you and your child!”My heart was racing, and I felt like I might faint, but I knew I could not give in to the Luna's demands. “I will not lie and accuse someone of something they did not do,” I said, my voice shaking with fear. The Luna's eyes narrowed, and I could see the fury building within her. But to my surprise, her anger quickly morphed into a cunning look.“You are a stubborn girl,” she said, her tone light and amused. “You have such strong convictions, and yet you are still an omega,” she scoffed I said nothing to her, I was just wondering why she suddenly stopped being angry, “What was the Luna up to?” I thought.“Tell me, Tasyra,” her voice lowered to a whisper, “How Would you like to be more than a slave? How would you like to have a better life?”I was taken aback by the Luna's question. I had never considered the possibility of having a better life. I had always tho

Zaryn“Wow!” I clapped repeatedly as I made my way into the room. I had heard Liane yelling and I rushed to find out why, but when I got there the scenery made me stand by the corner to watch with a wide smile of anticipation. I was disappointed that Liane had not ripped Tasyra's belly open and dragged that abomination of a child out of it, but how she spoke to Tasyra made me happy. I loved the way she made Tasyra tremble in fear, I loved that Tasyra was made to beg every time, I loved how she had torn Tasyra's skin with the knife and it only took self-control for me not to rush to Liane's hands and push the knife into Tasyra's gut.‘Zaryn!” Liane's cornflower blue eyes lit up as she made her way to the table and took a sip of her lemon tea.“Does the tea boost your confidence!” I asked her in admiration“Try it and see,” she said as she dropped the cup on the table. She stood up and walked towards me. “ Why did you come so early today? Did you miss your skincare routine,” she perked

Chapter-Twenty Eight
ZarynMy descent into villainy had roots in my troubled past. I was not always a villain as people thought. I once had a loving mother who took care of me after I was born with a rare condition that made me weak and sickly. I was not like other werewolf pups and my sickness bothered my family. My father saw me as a burden and a disgrace, but my mother loved me unconditionally. She was the only one who cared for me and protected me from the harshness of the pack. After several treatments and prayers, my mother decided to take matters into her own hands. She took me to her werewolf pack, where a renowned medicine man lived. She hoped that he could find a cure for my ailment. Our hope was shattered when an enemy pack attacked us during our stay. Chapter Twenty-Nine
Tasyra“I can not do what the Luna said I should do, No!” I cried while curled up in my cell, “I can not bring my child into a world of mockery from this rumour I am about to spread, No!” I wearily got up and started using my hand to feel the wall of the dark cell. I tried to get to the hidden place where I and Fagel had stored our tools for escape. I was going to escape. Although I had discarded a few tools due to fear of being cut, I still had the map and notes on the guard routines. I was going to escape by hook or crook.I heard a blonde-haired girl gasp as I worked on my portion in the field. “He is dead!?” she asked her friend during their discussion, “How did you know?”“ I saw people gathered in front of his house and his wife was crying, so I decided to check” her friend who had brunette hair responded, “Garn was such a good man, he suffered a lot,” she sighed“Garn is dead?” I asked them in a high-pitched voice so they could hear me. They both looked at me with visible scorn

Alpha HadenIt was very early in the morning. I got out of bed by 4 am and I decided to go to my usual place in the field for my early morning meditation. Before Gaya decided to stop talking to me, it was the both of us who did the meditation together.“Haden,” I heard a familiar voice call me, it was my mother.I turned to look at her and I smiled, “Mother”“Come, I need to show you something urgent,” there was an unusual calmness in her voice. If it was urgent, why were her emotions not speaking urgency?Standing up to my feet and following her, I replied, “What is the matter?”We walked in silence to the guard quarters and I wondered why. I was curious, I fought the urge to ask her where she was taking me, but I knew she would want me to be patient, that is how she was“Hello darling!” another familiar voice called out with a smile on her face as we were almost in the guards’ quarters, it was Zaryn. When I saw her, I raised an eyebrow. Did my mother just disturb my meditation to ta
