3 #I'll never let you go

Luna

“I don’t know... You can leave if you want to or stay the night here.” The man in front of me said as he squeezed my hands gently. “With me.”

His words work like magic to me, or maybe it was the sincerity in his eyes or whatever little booze was left in the system that was working its magic. But somehow, I couldn't resist the pull he had on me. His offer felt tempting, like a chance to escape reality for just a little while longer. I hesitated, torn between the desire to stay and the fear of the unknown that awaited outside those doors.

But for now, all I want is to kiss him while he is talking to me, to feel the warmth of his lips against mine, and to lose myself in the moment.

His hands moved, touching my face gently as he leaned in closer, his touch sending shivers down my spine. He tugged a few strands of hair away from my eyes as he caressed my face. His thumb moved on my lower lip as he started to gently glide his thumb just below my lower lip, tracing the outline of my mouth.

I gave in to his touch, my body melting into his as I closed my eyes and savored the sensation, and the next thing that I knew was my lips on his as he kissed me passionately, igniting a fire within me that I had never felt before.

The world around us seemed to fade away as our lips moved in perfect harmony, each kiss deepening the connection between us.

His hands dug into my hair as he pulled me closer, intensifying the passion between us. The soft tugs on my hair sent shivers down my spine, fueling the desire that consumed both of us.

I leaned in closer, losing myself in the intoxicating taste of his lips. Our bodies pressed against each other, the heat between us growing with every passing second.

"You're better than any dream," he whispered, his voice husky with desire.

"What do you mean?" I asked, staring into his blue eyes, searching for an answer. He smiled, his gaze filled with adoration. "You make me feel alive in a way I never thought possible," he confessed, his voice filled with sincerity.

A soft smile played on my lips upon hearing his words. "I don't know if it's alcohol or fate, but being with you feels like a perfect alignment of the stars," I admitted, my heart fluttering with joy. He chuckled softly, his fingers tracing patterns on my arm.

"Maybe it's both," he suggested, his voice filled with a hint of wonder.

"Yeah, right," I said, leaning my head on his shoulder as he wrapped his hand around me, pulling me closer. The warmth of his touch and the sound of his steady heartbeat reassured me that this moment was real, and I never wanted it to end.

"I am sad that we didn't meet sooner," he whispered, his breath tickling my ear. "But I'm grateful for this perfect moment we have now."

I separated myself from him, staring at his face in awe, taking in every detail. His eyes held a depth that seemed to mirror my own emotions, and I couldn't help but feel a sense of connection that went beyond words. It was as if we had known each other for lifetimes, and in that moment, I knew that our paths were meant to cross.

"You wouldn't like me if you had met me earlier," I chuckled, breaking the silence. "I mean, look at me now. All disheveled and distressed, drunk on some cheap beer, and alone." I said, feeling a mixture of self-pity and amusement.

"You know, all I ever wanted was to be loved and understood, but life has a funny way of throwing curveballs." I laughed through the tears that welled up in my eyes. It was bittersweet laughter, a release of emotions that had been building up for far too long.

"You have me now." He whispered softly, his voice filled with warmth and sincerity. "And I promise to love and protect you, no matter what curveballs life throws our way. We'll face them together, and I'll always be here for you." His words brought a glimmer of hope to my heart, but tugging again after being hurt so many times was a daunting task.

I shook my head slightly and said, "Nah, I don't trust you; I trust no one." I said this, pulling my head onto his shoulder and burying my face in his comforting embrace. "Do you want to know why?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.

"Why?" He asked. I took a deep breath, gathering my courage.

"Because everyone leaves me eventually. People always promise to stay, but they never do. I've been abandoned too many times to believe anyone's words anymore." I mumbled as a lone tear slid down my cheek. The pain of past betrayals weighed heavily on my heart, making it difficult to open up and trust again. "Just today, I found my boyfriend cheating on me with my best friend. They were naked in bed, the bed where we used to sleep together. With arms wrapped around each other, they didn't even notice me standing there and continued kissing as if I didn't exist." I choked out, my voice trembling with a mix of anger and sadness.

The image of their betrayal replayed in my mind, intensifying the ache in my chest. It was as if every ounce of trust I had left had been shattered at that moment. "How could they do this to me?" I whispered, feeling the weight of their betrayal crushing my spirit. "I loved him with all my heart, and she was my best friend. I never thought they would betray me like this." Tears welled up in my eyes as I struggled to comprehend the depth of their betrayal.

"Am I so bad that they felt the need to hurt me in this way?" I questioned, my voice trembling with a mix of vulnerability and confusion.

"You are not a bad person," a gentle voice replied, as a hand reached out to offer comfort. "Their actions reflect on them, not on you. They don't deserve you and your love." I hummed at his words, staring into his kind eyes.

"You're nice," I mumbled, touching his face with my finger. "But you're not real," I whispered, my voice filled with a hint of sadness. "I know the moment I wake up, you'll be gone, just like everyone else," I continued, tears welling up in my eyes. "But for now, can you stay with me? Even if it's just in my dreams?"

His smile grew softer as he nodded, gently holding my hand. "I'll be here as long as you need me," he assured me, his presence providing temporary solace from the pain.

"Don't leave me," I pleaded, my voice cracking with desperation. As I rested my head on his shoulder, my eyes started to get heavy, and my breathing slowed.

"I'll never let you go," I heard him say as every fiber of my being succumbed to sleep, finally finding solace in the embrace of my dreams.
