CHAPTER 57:

Keliegh’s POV.

I have not been able to close my eyes since Ryker left, even after he told me to take a rest before dinner. The only thing on my mind was if I made a mistake telling him and if it made me weak just like Selene said. I didn’t want to be weak, I didn’t choose to be weak but at the same time, this was not my pack. It belonged to him, and a part of me believes that whatever happened and made me uncomfortable should be addressed once and for all.

I exhaled forcefully, standing up from my bed to think about everything when I heard someone curse out. All my nerves went still, various thoughts starting to whirl around my brain. What if was Selene? What if she was trying another tactic? I gulped down and carefully stood up from the bed, approaching the door slowly and carefully.

With my wolf senses, I could hear the heartbeat of the person and surprisingly it was not a female. That seemed to put me at ease before I decided to open the door. Shock registered on my
