RESPONDING QUICKLY

Tears strode down my cheeks as I watched them both walk away from them, Ryker not staring at me not even for a second. Guilt filled me immediately and I felt so alone. The brothers seemed to he in a rush as they walked away from me.

I tried to go after them but they had gone into their room, leaving me no chance to speak with them. Determined not to let go, I sat by their door, waiting for them to walk out of the room again. Seconds rolled into minutes and minutes into hours and I could not help but be surprised at why they had refused to come out. Perhaps, because they were aware I was in there?

After what seemed like forever, a guard came to their door, bowed at me and frantically placed a knock on the door. My brows arched and I looked up at him, wondering what was happening. He on the other hand seemed quite worried and scared.
