Selene’s POV.

It was late evening as I walked out of my room, recalling Roman’s words on my way to where I was going.

“Lay down and act nice my foot.”

I have stayed inside since that same morning, eating and washing up, thinking and rolling over my bed on what I could do. And no one, not even the goddamned Roman himself showed up to check on me.

I lifted my hands up to knock on Ryker’s door when it opened, revealing the grand master itself. His brows furrowed as he saw me, my heart sighing in satisfaction.

I wanted him to be surprised to see me also.
