Day 11: Part 3
“I am with a guy at this moment.” Chance could feel his nerve wracking as he blurted those words. Coming out to people, no matter how many times he had done it in the past, it never got easy. To let people know about yourself, to not purposefully hide who you are. It was great, but it was also incredibly scary at the same time as well.
"What did you just say"? Scott was still surprised to hear something like this, contemplating whether or not he heard him wrong.
"It's a guy," Chance mumbled again, anxiously.
"So what? You're like gay now"? Scott mocked, in more of an accusatory tone.
"Not exactly." Chance tried his best not to fumble. "I am bi." He declared.

Chance didn’t hear from Dr. Tyson for the next few days and that was starting to worry him. Meanwhile, even though distracting himself from Scott by having sex with Dr. Tyson worked the other day he was still bothered by it, especially when Scott reached out to him via social media after all these years. It was as if an alarm went out inside his head which prompted Chance to push away Scott immediately. They laid right next to each other, catching their breaths while coming down from the high of their heated session.“I’m so glad you showed up right now.” Terrence mumbled as he stared at the ceiling.“Is that how horny you were?” Chance teased his partner.“No, I get to clean the sheets along with everything else. It reduces my energy.” Terrence declared.“How can you still work after that, it doesn’t hurt?” Chance was appalled. The next morning, Chance headed out to go to the Hospital and started to look for Kara. He wanted to clear his head by sharing his new found revelation about his feelings, but unfortunately Kara was late that day, and thus got swamped in the work as soon as she arrived. It wasn’t until lunch when they finally had some free time. “Guess what I am doing this weekend?” With a cheeky smile, Kara asked her friend.“Partying”? Knowing Kara, that was the safest bet. The scene at the hospital wasn’t less horrific than what was at the scene. When Terrence was called in the middle of his work with the presentation, he ran to the hospital getting ready to take charge. They were lucky that Dr. McGrath was back from his honeymoon, because they really needed him at this moment of crisis.Usually third years weren’t allowed to lead their surgeries, but seeing the depth of the situation, they agreed to make an exception just for this once. When he found out everyone was being called in for duty, he tried to check in with Kara, according to whom Chance hadn’t arrived. He was standing by the ER waiting for any patient who resembled Chance to come while at the same time hoping he wasn’t one of the casualties. It didn’t help that even after numerous calls Chance didn’t pick up.

Both of them woke up around mid afternoon, with them sprawled over each other. Chance was pretty sure his head was pressed into the other’s bare stomach, and probably the cloth covering him was Terrence’s shirt. Since when did he become a messy sleeper. It took the hospital a few more days to go back to its normal routine, where most of the casualties of the disasters were discharged. Only a few who had grave injuries were needed to be kept in the hospital.
