Ch 5 : His Obsession

I followed Alex to the top floor. Where the alpha and his family lived. The upper floors looked so expensive, totally different from the first floor. The discrimination was screaming through every bricks.

Finally we stopped in front of a massive black door. Alex asked me to go inside. I nodded and was about to knock at the door, but found out that it was open already. I slightly pushed the door and it opened. It was completely dark inside.

Suddenly he asked in a hoarse voice, "What do you think you're doing?"

"What do you think you - are doing? " I repeated his question.

"Do you think you can affect me like this by getting closer to the other guys? What were you doing with Alex? He's an alpha and mateless, aren't you aware of it ? Just because you couldn't become my luna, now you are going around seducing some random alphas? Are you this desperate?" he asked angrily. Jealousy filled in his every sentence.

Suddenly he thumped his hands strongly on the door in both sides of my head. "If you think this trick will work, you are very wrong."

His every single word was piercing through my heart. My wolf was getting angry by his words.

His whole body was trembling with jealousy and anger. He suddenly clawed his hands and extended them on both sides of my head and scratched off the door surface. I felt like he was going to scratch off my face as well. I pushed my back against the door more in fear. I tried to look away. But his hands suddenly cupped my face. He forced me to look into his eyes. His eyes were glowing in the dark.

The fragrance was making me go crazy. I suddenly felt soft lips touching mine. That was it. My wolf lost it. So was his. He started to kiss me. His lips trailed down from my lips to my neck. He was breathing heavily. He slightly licked my neck.

Ecstasy was filled with his every movement. Suddenly I felt sharp teeth digging into the skin of my neck. I suddenly came back to my senses. What the hell he was trying to do. Was he going to mark me?

I could tell that he was not in his senses anymore. He was completely under the control of his wolf which wanted to mark its mate. I pushed him away strongly. He fell on his bed by my push.

He came back to his senses as well. I grabbed my neck where he tried to mark. It was wet. Blood was coming out of the veins of my neck due to the piercing.

"Leave! " he suddenly shouted at me. "Never show me your face again!"

I was hurt by his words again. I didn't reply a single word and silently opened the door and left his room. When I came outside I saw Alex, he was waiting at the massive balcony.

He smiled at me seeing me coming out of the room. But soon his eyes fell on my neck. Blood was still coming out from there. My white dress was stained with the blood drops again. His smile faded from his face.

"Is he your mate?" he asked coldly.

I didn't reply.

He suddenly laughed a bit. "I could already guess. So the reason of your loneliness is really him," he said.

I quickly walked past him without replying to him or explaining anything. I came back to my room quickly. This whole pack was now feeling like a prison to me. My whole body was burning.

I was in pain once again. His continuous rejections again and again were making me go crazy.

After a few days my shift changed from the cooking section to the laundry. All these days I tried to ignore everyone carefully including Zen and Alex. I tried to talk with Cathy. But she refused to even look at me. She even transferred to a whole another block.

Then I became very lonely. I had to wake up really early for the laundries. Also to avoid some people, I used to wake up extra earlier to wash the clothes of my part before others would even wake up.

One day I was hanging the clothes at the yard to dry them. None of the pack members had woken up yet. The sky was not even clear properly. It was looking fresh and beautiful early in the morning. Suddenly I sensed someone's presence behind me. This someone behind me thing was really getting on my nerves. I turned back and found out Alex standing there.

He was looking fresh as usual. Like a handsome fairy that just came down to earth early in the morning from the sky.

"Finally, gotcha," he smiled at me and said.

"Why are you up so early?" I asked him. I was feeling a bit awkward. Since that day in Zen's room, I was feeling uneasy in front of him. His friend rejected me. I must be a joke to him.

"Were you avoiding me intentionally?" he asked again.

"I have works left, I will see you later," I avoided his question and tried to get away from there.

But he blocked my way and continued the conversation.

"That day, I saw your wolf. Why are you an omega? Your wolf is definitely stronger. You didn't even shift completely that day and still managed to kill a whole bunch of wolves having betas," he said.

I sighed. "Look, I am also confused with everything that is going on with me. I don't know if my wolf is an omega or a beta or whatever. I had never even fought before that day. And trust me, my wolf is nothing special, it's just a regular fluffy wolf," I tried to convince him as much as possible that I was not  someone he was thinking of.

"I would love to meet you someday in your wolf form," he said warmly.

"I don't think that will ever happen again," I replied sadly. "I can't shift in my full form," I confessed.

"Then why don't we try it?" he stepped closer to me and continued, "Why don't we make sure that it lives even after the complete rejection?" he grabbed my shoulders and asked.

I looked at his eyes confusedly. What on the earth he was trying to say.

"I want you to be my mate," he said again.

I couldn't believe what he just said. This unearthly beauty, there was no way after spending so many years alone, he finally got his interest in a plain girl like me. Also my wolf denied strongly inside. I felt awkward at his sudden proposal.

I freed my hand. I looked straight into his eyes. ''If he thinks he is just fooling around, he needs to get the facts clear,"I thought.

"I Don't think this is possible. I already have a mate. Even though I am rejected, I can't still ignore the bond till he marks someone else. And even if he marks someone else, I don't think I can still accept your proposal. My wolf doesn't feel the same way with you. And even if my mate decides not to mark someone else and keep me instead, I will still reject him as well. After his continuous rejections, I don't think I can have a future with him anymore," I said clearly wishing him to forget whatever was going on his head for me.

After saying all these I tried to leave again. But he chuckled a bit. Within a few seconds I felt strong hands grabbing my hairs from behind. I cried out in pain.

He pulled me by my hairs and brought me closer to him. He grabbed me from behind and cupped my face.

"Humans or wolves, angels or devils, no one could ever resist my charms, my power, my beauty. You think you can get away so easily? After all these years, I finally found the one who can make me surpass my own charms, I could never think that anyone could ever make me feel like this, anyone would ever be able to make me interested in them, because I was so full of myself. I never thought anyone could ever fulfill my standards. How can you even think of rejecting me? I am an alpha. I didn't ask for your opinion. If an alpha wants something, he gets it. A mere wolf like you has no right to deny, you just follow and give whatever you have been asked for," he said coldly. I was struggling to free myself.

Even though he was more soft looking but his strength was way greater. Suddenly I felt a strong pain in my neck. A scream escaped from my mouth. Sharp teeth dug deep into my neck. I screamed again in pain. I could feel the blood rushing through my whole body. I was getting marked by an alpha. I started to feel his wolf. I felt like a new bond was forming between us, my legs were getting numb. He finally stopped. He let go of my body. I grabbed my neck in pain and was looking at him in shock. I wasn't feeling anything romantic. Instead I was feeling disgusted, betrayed. My wolf was in shock as well. His mouth was now covered in blood . looking like a hungry wolf.

Suddenly I felt Zen's presence. He probably felt it when the bond broke and I got marked by Alex. His fury took over him. He shifted in a beautiful large brown wolf within seconds. It was trembling with rage. He growled so loudly that it almost felt like an earthquake was happening. Alex shifted in his wolf form as well. His wolf was a big white one.

The wrath between the two wolves were visible. They got into a fight in no time. It was strong enough to make everyone wake up in the pack house. Everyone came outside terrified thinking the Sapphires might have attacked us. Zen and Alex were still fighting. Zen had Alex pinned down on the ground. He was aiming for Alex's throat to rip it off.

The alpha of the pack came downstairs. H growled and ordered them to stop. But Alex had claimed what was Zen's. Nothing was enough to stop Zen now. Wolves can be so possessive that it can even change the motto of their lives. The fight was getting intense. Alex attacked back at Zen. One of them could get hurt very badly. It felt like none of them would stop without killing each other. Finally Dylan and the other wolves decided to interfere.

Zen was still growling in anger. They were forced to shift back to their human forms.

The alpha lost his cool that day for the first time.

"What is this?! Zen, Alex, Explain! Right now! " the Alpha got angry extremely.

"He-dared-to-mark-my-mate," Zen said clenching his jaw. He was still furiously looking at Alex. Prepared to kill him at any moment. But strongly held by Dylan and others.

"Mate!" everyone fell in another shock.

"What do you mean by mate?" The alpha asked. He was confused as well.

"You rejected her already, She's not your mate anymore, " Alex growled.

Zen growled back in anger. The alpha finally looked at me. He saw the mark in my neck.

"Why didn't you you tell us about it?" the alpha looked at Zen and asked.

Zen was unable to answer anything. It was true that he didn't have the right to get angry anymore.

"I don't know what actually happened here, but are you two immature kids?! Do you think it is the time to get excited or possessive over a girl? The sapphires have already surrounded us from all sides. We have lost so many of our pack members? Do you think of it as nothing?! " The Alpha got even angrier. Zen and Alex calmed down. They were looking down quietly.

"I Don't care what are these all about, but right now, the sapphires are making alliances with all the other packs out there. Whatever is this we will have a proper talk  about this after the war is settled. If I again find out that you two are getting in trouble with one another, I will kick both of you out of this pack, got it?!" he asked them with fury.

The two of them nodded silently.

The Alpha finally turned to me, "Since your birth to this moment here, right now, you're nothing but a trouble," his eyes were full with despise.

''As long as the war will continue, you will be held in prison," he declared.

"What?!" Zen almost jumped out in shock.

"She is marked by me now. You can not do this to her," Alex said.

"Are you two trying to defy me again? " The alpha looked at them coldly.

"If you want to keep her in the prison, let it be beside my room. Zen is your son, how can I be assured that he won't use his power and position to humiliate my mate in the prison whenever he wants?" Alex asked.

"Whom do you think you're calling your mate? You forced that mark on my mate. She is my mate!" Zen shouted angrily.

I felt disgusted. They were literally objectifying me. This wasn't love. Not at all. They just wanted to claim. They just wanted to win on their egos.

"Take her away from here," The alpha ordered a few betas. "And don't let any of these guys to meet her until I give my permission," he declared.

I was not even sure why I was being held as a captive. I started to feel suffocated. They locked me in a room at the second floor.
