Chapter 84

Samantha POV

With the wedding over and done with, it is now time for my initiation ceremony.

My mom pulled me into a room. I walk closer to the mirror. True to my mother's words, there are no black tear streaks on my face. I did not need to touch up my make-up. This will save me a few minutes in the long run.

My mom helped me take off my shoes and veil. I still don't know why I have to do the initiation ceremony barefoot. We only have a few minutes before I need to get back out there. My mom propped a plate full of food into my hands and told me to eat.

"Mom, why are you so adamant that I eat? I am not even hungry." I say taking a bite from one of the crackers. I know there is no use in arguing with her.

"I know you are not hungry. I want you to eat because I wished someone did that for me when I got married. When your father and I got married, I was so stressed and busy that I forgot to eat. Halfway through the ceremony, I passed out. It was so embarrassing that I promised mysel
