Samantha finally left after telling me about her meeting at the orphanage. I could see that she knew something was off with me, but all things considered, I think I kept my composure.

I feel so guilty for keeping secrets from her, but it is for the best. This is one secret I am willing to keep for as long as I possibly can.

The look in Samantha's eyes when she told me that she didn't need Mark to babysit her was priceless. I knew she didn't need someone to look after her. Mark only went along to keep her away from the castle for as long as he could.
