Alex stood under the shower head, making sure there was enough distance was covered between the two because, boundaries. Again, that awkward stretch of silence. The pattering of the water drops against the tiled floor and the rumbling of thunder outside was thankfully there to fill the atmosphere with something but that something just wasn’t enough.
Alex was adamant on keeping his gaze anywhere but to his side where Xavier stood. With all these weird fuzzy feelings, he wasn’t ready to risk his sexuality not to mention how self-conscious he’d grow of his own body. T was no secret Xavier looked to be built like a god, as unrealistic as it was for someone in high school, but that fact was only made much clear when he stood there. Completely bare.
Its not like he was a little twink, far from it really. He was just the right balance of height and muscle and made an effort to maintain a good enough body. Standing beside Xavier, however, made him feel like he was what he strived not to be. A tiny little twink.
But it proved much harder to actually keep his gaze away when curiosity was just itching at him. He was quick to just take a little peak and it lasted no less than a second. However, in that millisecond they met eyes and just from that brief eye contact there was an explosion of emotions bursting within him. His heart had skipped several beats and his cheeks burned with heat.
What was going on? Was he actually catching feelings for a guy he barely even knew? No, there’s no way. He’s just appreciating other dudes’ physical appearance, that’s all. Yeah, that’s it.
“Alex.” Xavier said, making the man in question almost topple over. It took a while for Alex to come to. The way the deep voice called his name making him feel some type of way.
Taking a deep breath to prep himself, Alex turned to look at Xavier, his amber gold eyes instantly snatching his. Time seemed to stop in that moment, all the pattering and rumbling phasing away. Alex was suddenly aware of his increased breathing and the thundering of his heart.
His eyes journey down, tracing the hard lines of each muscle that perfectly sat sculpted on his torso. The lower his eyes ventured, the hotter his cheeks burned.
“Yeah,” Alex answered, snapping himself out his perverted trance. This time he made sure to take his eyes to the side, now fearing his wondering thoughts.
“Could you pass the soap?”
“Sure, yeah. Of course,” Alex mumbled, wishing he could shut his mouth. Rambling was at the top of things he despised yet now he fell victim to it.
Passing the soap was an easy enough task, there was no way he could fuck that up right? Wrong.
As if all the god nestled u in the heavens were against him, he slipped. On what still remained a mystery. And it was as if he was watching himself fall in slow motion, that one protruding tile seemingly ready to give him a nice little kiss yet he never reached the floor.
He was left stunned for a moment before realizing he was floating, no there was someone holding onto him. Two large hands supported his sides, slowly getting him to stand straight.
It took a good minute to calm the adrenaline coursing through his veins, but when it did, Alex was painfully aware of how close they were. He was basically leaning on the other, his hand pressed against his chest like some damsel in distress. Xavier’s hands still securely held his sides, dangerously close to his waist at that and the feeling left on Alex’s body was a different type of real. However, none could compare to warm breath fanning his neck, sending shivers rippling down his back. His heart went from a few measly flutters to pounding against his ribcage, his breath growing quick and his skin all the more sensitive.
He’d never felt such sensation with anyone, much less someone of the same sex. He wasn’t against the idea but wasn’t too keen on it being towards someone who he barely ever heard speak.
“Be careful,” Xavier said, unaware of just how hypnotizing his voice was, especially when it as just a hair’s length from Alex’s ear. A sensation rushed through a part he definitely wanted to say dormant so he was quick to back away, his body still burning with Xavier’s touch.
As coolly as he wished he could’ve played off the whole ordeal, he couldn’t. He’d barely cleaned himself off yet he was already stepping out the showers and toweling himself dry all whilst trying to brain wash himself that nothing happened. He could always just shower at home.
He didn’t bother glancing back at Xavier and instead threw his clothes on and was out the door. The hallways were bustling with people trying to get out the doors, Alex getting pushed into the wave.
He was beyond grateful that gym was the last period of the day and he could finally go home. He would never be able to face Xavier after that. His heart was still doing the cha cha in his chest whilst his stomach tangoed along with his insides.
“I barely know him,” Alex repeated, finally making it outside where rain was mercilessly pounding anyone who stepped under it. It was days like this he wished he brought his car but there was no choice since he’d be coming out later than Jamie meaning she have to wait several hours at school before he finally came around plus his mum had a doctor appointment etcetera.
He squinted his eyes, making sure there really was the yellow bus parked all the way across the parking lot before running out under the downpour.
Getting home, Alex shut the door to his room, threw his bag onto the floor and fell onto his bed, screaming into his pillow. It was more of an internal scream but still a scream nonetheless. The bus ride hadn’t made the events of earlier any better. Over and over again was the scene played in his head like some broken record.
Its just a phase, that’s right, just a phase.
“Josh, I don’t think I can do this, lets break up,” The girl said, standing at Josh’s desk, the male lazily looking up at her. “Sure,” He said, raising a brow when the girl started sniffling. He sighed, supporting his head with his hand. He didn’t say anything wrong; she was the one who brought up breaking up yet here she was breaking into tears making him look like some asshole. The girl left in tears now whispers erupting in the classroom, all eyes on him. He sighed, tempted to laugh at how funny life was. He sat back in his chair, waiting for the lesson to begin. “People sure be quick to judge huh?” A guy came, sitting beside him, his hand smacking Josh’s back. “Right?” Josh smiled, knowing this guy had been backbiting him just yesterday yet had the balls to come with his cheap mask and pretend they were friends. Pathetic. This is why he only acknowledged Alex as his only friend even with so many claiming them to be friends. Alex wa
The sky was dark, not a star to give light to what lay below. With the moon nowhere to be found, candles were the only source of light to illuminate the gold, crystal embedded, coffin. In it, a still body with skin as pale as a diamond and hair as white as snow lay. The coffin took its place in the middle of the room under the opening to reveal the inky sky.Several hooded bodies encircled the golden resting places, all chanting in low unknown tongue with their features shadowed, in their hands carrying goblets filled with crimson liquid. One came forward carrying one bigger than the rest, decored even fancier than the coffin, in it, blood. His chanting grew louder, more crazed at the blood was poured over onto the body.Just as the robed strangers continued the ceremony Xavier suddenly awoke from the dream. Beads of sweat trickled down his body and matted his white locks. He sat up, running a hand through his hair, a sigh escaping his lips. His pulse was quick,
"Hey Alex, you need to see this" Josh waved over to Alex who was grabbing his lunch.Alex sat beside him, looking around he noticed that everyone was looking down at their phones. "Dude look at this," Josh said pointing at his phone.'Young girl found dead in woods behind North field High yesterday evening.'-"It's all over the news, they said this girl was found dead in the woods behind the school, they said that she was brutally tortured and had like a billion cuts and bruises," Josh shrieked."Actually these past weeks there's been an increase in murder cases." Alex couldn't wrap his head around it, are these somehow linked with a large number of people suddenly moving into the town."Look there's a picture of the girl.""She kinda looks familiar," Alex commented with furrowed brows"Wait isn't she from the other school across town; she was dating some guy here. How unfortunate. " Alex knew his friend would figure
Josh knocked at Alex's door, Jamie answering. "Hey look who it is, it's my beautiful princess," Josh said as he went on knee kissing Jamie's hand. "Joshy," she said scruffling his curly brown locks.Josh laughed asking the small blonde where her brother was. She held Josh's hand leading him to Alex's bedroom where Alex was found laying on his bed barely even dressed."Thank you, your highness." Josh said kissing her hand one more time Alex smacking the boy on the head "Don't even think about it, she's my sister." He said as he sat back down on his bed.Josh got up looking at Alex who looked like he just woke up from a nap. "Why aren't you ready? And why are you in your underwear?" Josh asked with an annoyed frown on his freckled features."What do you mean, I am ready." He said grabbing a nearby pair of flip-flops. Josh just smacked the flip-flops out of his hand. "I'm not letting you in my car looking like that." He said pushing the blonde into the bathr
Alex gulped what was his hundredth cup. He was sitting on the couch, a girl in a witch’s costume was beside him, running a hand on his chest. He was completely consumed by the spell of the alcohol and could barely register what was going on. He ran a hand through his hair before the girl beside him moved from her seat and instead sat on Alex's lap, her arms wrapped around his shoulders.Through hooded eyes, Alex looked at the female, not sure he enjoyed her on his lap, and even with all the alcohol in his system he still didn't feel right doing this. The girls on the other hand were just as intoxicated and didn't wait to smash their lips together. Again Alex could taste alcohol and lipgloss from the person, and again he didn't like it but this time he didn't push away. He let his hands rest on her sides as she continued. After several minutes the girl pushed away and that's when Alex got her off him and stood. He wiped the link streak on his cheek whilst navigati
Alex instantly awoke, beads of sweat trickling down his forehead; his breathing was fast and so was his heart. He had a rather peculiar nightmare of people in long robes which he concluded to be just another weird dream. He got up, walking to the bathroom before taking a shower ridding him of all the sweat. His phone suddenly rang, his hand reaching out of the shower before he brought it to his ear. “Hello?”“Hey man I know you like Xavier and everything but could you do me a slight favor,” Josh said on the other side of the phone.Alex sighed. “What is it?”Sighing internally, Alex was pushed into the mall by his friend and two other females who he had never seen before. He had no idea why he let Josh drag him into this, the male was very persuasive. The group went into different shops admiring everything, Alex trying to act like cared every time his partner showed him something. They finally stopped in a little
“Xavier.”Alex’s voice was frail and quiet, almost near a whisper. His body shook vigorously, his head pounding violently. There was a slight ring in his ear from bashing his head so hard that he could barely make out what Xavier said.Relief still washed over him; he couldn’t help but cry into Xavier’s shirt. Xavier picked him off the ground and into his arms, Alex still shaking like a wet puppy.Starting at a gradual pace, Xavier began running, slowly the pace picking up till the surroundings were all but a blur.Suddenly Xavier leaped into the air, landing onto a sturdy branch of the treetops. Clenching his eyes shut, Alex refused to acknowledge the fact that they were feet above the ground and that his supposed savior leaped into the air like he was about to set off for flight.Alex held on tight as they moved from tree to tree, the ride not a very comfortable one, especially with his leg feeling like someone
"Alex, come down before your breakfast gets cold.""Be right down."Taking two steps at a time, Alex made his way down the stairs and walked into the kitchen where his family sat. His mum slid over his breakfast; a grin spread onto her face.Jamie was playing with her food, this making Alex smile as it always did. Why is she so cute? Alex frowning a bit at the thought of a boy having his hots for her.The vibrating of his phone on the table was what broke the peaceful atmosphere."I need to go before I’m late for school," he sighed, wishing that it was the weekend.Alex stood from the table, grabbing his bag and keys before planting a kiss on his mum and Jamie. He then left, sparing a glance at them happily sitting at the table. He closed the door but as he jumped into the car he found himself back inside. He stood in the living room, his eyes growing wide his heart dropping. He no longer saw his happy family seated whe
