Dominick and I are sitting in the spot where we normally meet with the gods at.  We are waiting on Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades to show.  We sent a message to them last night after we had heard what the others were planning, letting them know that we needed to talk to them and that it was serious. 

“Well, what is this important information?”  I hear Hades ask.

“We overheard a conversation between Vepar, Asmoday, and a few others that we couldn’t place last night,”  I tell them.

“Why would Vepar be meeting with Asmoday?”  Zeus asks.

Dominick explains that they are mates and have been sneaking around for years now to be together.  I hated that we were ratting them out, but the fact that they have decided to try and overthrow the gods overrules them being mates.  He also explains the plan that we heard them discussing.  To say that the three gods in front of us are pissed would be an understatement.  I swear the vein in the side of Zeus’s head might explode at any moment.  I can tell they want to head back up and grab Vepar and Asmoday.

“Wait, I have an idea.  What if the two of us gather powers and DNA from all the other creatures that all of you have created and mixed it with the powers and DNA they want to get from you? Let’s just say that they succeed in gathering all your powers and DNA and somehow impregnate Aphrodite, which they won’t, but let’s say it happens.  If we added in all the other powers and DNA they wouldn’t be able to find the child because there would be no scent  You could hide it here with all of you and keep it protected.” I explain.

The four of them went quiet, and I could see they were actually thinking about my idea.  I knew that none of us was going to let them get to Aphrodite.  I also knew that now that they knew that someone was out to get a sample of their powers and DNA, they would make sure to keep an eye on everyone and trust no one that their plan would fail.  I was sure they wouldn’t agree with this idea at all.  My mouth falls open when Poseidon speaks.

“Ok you two get collecting and we will make sure that this doesn’t happen in the first place,”  Poseidon tells us.

I sat there speechless.  Fuck they agreed to my spur-of-the-moment idea.  The three of them leave, and I see Dominick glare at me.  Well, this backfired.  I close my eyes and wonder how I come up with shit like this.  I literally just spewed it out of my mouth.  Complete diarrhoea of the mouth.  Now, look where that has gotten us.  I know Dominick is about to lose his shit.  This is not the first time I have spewed stupid ideas. 

“What the fuck are you thinking?”  He says.

“I didn’t really think that they would go for it,”  I replied.

I hear him let out a growl of frustration, and we head back to the pack.  Once we are back in our house, we sit there for a while in silence.  I am wondering how the fuck we are supposed to pull this off.  There were numerous creatures and other supernatural creatures all over.  They are not conveniently located all in the same place.  

“We are going to have to split up and gather from everywhere.  Good thing we have a few weeks to do all of this.  I have an invisible hear tracker on Shade so I can hear when she is actually going to perform the spell.”  Dominick tells me.

“You know if this is successful that the spell could produce more than one child.  I know of a spell that we can do that can bind souls to others.  We could split souls in half and attach them to the unborn child or children to protect them.  Using this spell the child or children will only be able to have children of their own with the other half of their soul.”  I explain to him.

“That’s perfect.  We should do that.  I guess it is time to get collecting.”  Dominick huffs out.

I understand his frustration.  This is a huge undertaking, and we are going to be travelling a lot.  I start sending out links to all the supernatural creatures that I am in good standing with to meet with me and bring others with them.  Dominick does the same. This might make our job easier.  

“We are going to have to travel through, but only one of us can be gone at a time.  We need one of us here because of the pack.”  Dominick comments.

“I know.  Let’s see who shows up and then we can take turns traveling to the others.”  I tell him.

I am not sure what the hell I have gotten us into, but if we can protect Aphrodite and this child or children that we are trying to prevent from happening, then it is worth it.  I know that Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades will be on guard up there, watching out for her.  I just hope that we can prevent this from happening.
