“I heard from Coal yesterday,” Blake says.

“Seriously? How is he doing?” I asked.

“Good, he and his mate are doing well.” Blake answers.

That makes me feel better. It has been several hundred years since I last saw him. He never returned after heading out to search for Haze, whom we still have not found. There have been several leads, but they all seem to be dead ends. I have no doubt that he is on the black market somewhere. Mykenzie and Kylani moved the colony of werecats and us a few hundred years ago to the land that borders the new pack. We have been keeping an eye on it since. We are all grateful that Mykenzie and Kylani have kept us hidden and safe. I really like this pack, and I hope that maybe sometime in the future, we can reveal ourselves to them and possibly become part of the pack.

“Did he say if he was going to come here?” I asked.

“No, he didn’t mention anything about traveling here. Besides, it’s still too risky.” Xion adds.
