The pained expression of the person inside was akin to a needle piercing Mira's heart. After all, he wasn't just anyone. Mira had regarded Arlan as her brother. If Azarias wasn't present, Arlan would be the next person to shield her from rain and storm.
Mira's heart trembled slightly. She tried to stand up, looking at the figure in the coffin.
Dave was using space magic to conceal Arlan's existence all this time. He brought him out when he realized that things had gone south. Now, the coffin was hovering vertically beside Dave, making sure that Mira could see Arlan's expression clearly.
He did it on purpose.
"Let go of him." Her voice turned hoarse as she faced Dave, who only rolled his eyes.
"Do you think I am that stupid? Once I let go of him, I will be dead. That demon won't let go of me." Dave pointed at Azarias. "Demons are known as bloodthirsty creatures. Once they set their target, they will follow it until the very end."
