I couldn’t even begin to describe how much my body ached when my mind finally awoke. It was like my insides had turned into stone, weighing me down. My muscles were aching and I could barely move; even my eyelids felt too heavy to open. When I started to wrap my head around the events that occurred in the office I heard murmurs coming from somewhere near to where I was lying. They were in the same room as me, wherever I was, so I strained my ears to see if I could hear what was being said.
