CHAPTER TWENTY-NINE

Crystal was speechless. She had no words to respond to his question and could only stare with teary eyes. Her body continued to shake from what had happened and her mind was blank. She saw his darkened blue eyes rake over her wrist before he touched one of the fingerprints with his long index finger. She hissed and took her hand out of his.

"What happened to you?" He whispered and she saw his hand shift towards her cheek but he dropped it when he realized where he was. "Tell me, Crystal. Who did this to you, baby?"

A dark look took over his face and his posture straightened. She saw him clench his fists and made a move to walk past her but she blocked him with a shake of her head.
