As Zane sat in the backseat of the police car with Larry, handcuffs on both their wrist, the officer in the front passenger seat looked back at them through the barbwire.

Seeing the calm expression on Zane’s face made him smirk, mumbling, “It says when you bite more than you can chew, you get shit stuck in your throat that choke the hell out of you.”

Even though Zane knew those words were aimed at him, his face remained emotionless, ignoring the officer's gaze although the dude was staring directly at him.
