CHAPTER TWENTY-ONE

Nate's idea was completely off the wall, but was worth giving it a shot. His Dad was definitely going to go berserk if he ever found out about this, so everything has to be a secret. He just had to go along with this plan, or else end up losing the company. Everything to him felt like a game of life, and death, in which he must be the winner, or end up dying. 'Better dead, than losing', Nate always felt this was her boss's secret slogan, because he would rather drop dead, than let someone win over him. Carl's date was in an hour time, and as the time drew closer, he became more impatient, and anxious to get over it.

"How do I look?" He asked Nate, trying to get some sort of self appraisal.

"You look perfect" She gave him a guarded thumbs-up, despite the fact, she wasn't comfortable with the whole girlfriend idea, not to mention dating someone working under Mr. Williams' payroll, yet she silently prayed it works out, because the selection process was taking a toll on her.
