**Elizabeth's POV**

I was wandering aimlessly through the streets like a ghost. I didn't know where I was going or when I was going to stop, I was just walking.

I was so shocked that I couldn't express any corresponding emotion: sadness, regret, none of it, just numbness.

My tall size was very prominent among all the dwarf wolves. Almost everyone would look up at me and sneer.

Maybe they were not sneering at me, they were sneering at their past selves. Perhaps a long time ago, they also experienced the process from excitement to despair, just like me.

Walking from light to dark, I finally accepted this fact in desperation. That man did not lie to me. What he said was true.

I did not see an adult of my size for the entire day. Meanwhile, I saw many "children" with wings.

I think they were once winged wolves. After falling into the forbidden valley, they slowly turn into dwarf wolves.

This also proved one thing: they couldn't leave the valley even if they had wings.
