"Think we might make it back?" Lino asked asked Kayden as he jammed the rock into the sharp edge of the sword.

Kayden shrugged, staring up at the sky. "I have no choice. Ayla will throttle me out of the afterlife if I do not."

Lino smiled. He could think of a couple of things Cassy would also do to him for leaving without her. He had better make it back home. He had no other option.
