Second Mate

"Lucy! Lucy! Lucy!" Alpha Darren kept on calling after her, but she continued walking away from him, as fast as she could. Unfortunately for her, she wasn't as fast as Darren. He gripped her hand and dragged her back to stop her.

She staggered backwards and stared at him with widened eyes. She really couldn't believe that he actually did that to her. "What? Why can't you let me be? First, it's your mate, and now you! I'm tired of all these!" Lucy said all that because she thought that it was going to make Darren leave her alone, but it didn't work.

Instead, he wanted to pull her closer and assure her that everything was going to be fine. But, he thought against that. He had to be serious with her. "I just want you to answer one question, I don't care about what you're ranting about. It's none of my business!"
