Tension at headquarters

Anna’s POV

“It is one or the other!” Smith exclaimed. “It is either you provide a solution for me here and now or I will hand out sack letters. I can’t keep paying the salaries of a bunch of directors who do not care about the company’s growth in real time. Let it begin. It is your stage now, Anna!”

I was shocked to mention my name. I checked my phone and I realized Smith had sent me a message.

“Here is a chance for you to act professional. Confront the men. Additional information is below,” the message read. He attached a PDF with the message and I had it forwarded to my iPad. I picked it up after and went to the podium.

“I didn’t realize this while coming but this seems to be a meeting of all directors in this company. All branches were represented by the real director except for the branch in California. The real director is ill and he sent his deputy. We will start with that!” I told them firmly. “The director in charge of the branch has been sick for three months now and he hasn’
