Anna’s POV

When I finally hugged Smith, I felt like all my burdens had came off. It had been so tiring and I was mentally out of breath. I could cast all my burdens on him now. He would help me hold them up and solve them.

”You must have been dying to hold me, huh!” Smith laughed at me. I didn’t bother to reply me. I just remained in his arms, getting comforted.

We had dinner together but I ate sparsely. Smith complained that my body temperature was high and I noticed it already. I had little appetite and I just flung it off. It was definitely due to exhaustion. I worked hard these past few days.

Smith offered to take me to the hospital but I declined. The in-house nurse came to check on me and even offered me some medicine which I used. I was to get complete rest. Smith just kissed me on the forehead before he slept. I knew he wanted me to rest but this was the kind of time I needed a cuddle. I didn’t mind since he was being considerate.
