Chapter 10

I spent the entire time at school thinking about how to bring up the subject of my marriage to my parents. Different ideas have come to mind but the end results aren’t too good.

I’ve even imagined my mother slapping me right across the face though she’s never raised a hand to me but I’m pretty sure this is good enough reason to get slapped.

“I’m home” I sigh, pushing the large door at the entrance as I walk into the dimly lit sitting room. “How are you honey” mom says, a smile lighting up her face at the sight of me.

I force a smile, “I’m good, there’s something I need to tell you guys” I say, taking a seat opposite her. She looks at me inquisitively like she’s going to prod further, but she looks away and calls for the rest of the family.

“What’s wrong” dad says, walking into the sitting room, “yeah I was just about to get some sleep” Daniel says, rubbing his eyes.

I stop myself from rolling my eyes, seeing that I need all the support that I can get.

My sisters Carla and Dora walk
