Chapter 42

Zeta's pov

We finally got to the pack house, I peeked at Damien who kept a straight face as we head inside. He didn't make an attempt to take the child and I was grateful.

I stepped into the living room and found Belinda and the other members of our pack gathered there. They all stared at me the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was tense, and I sensed trouble brewing.

I couldn't imagine the drama that happened once everyone realized the child was missing.

"Of course it had to Zeta!" Belinda announced like everyone wasn't already looking in my direction her eyes locked onto mine, her anger evident in her gaze. Without a moment's hesitation she stepped towards me.

"Zeta, how could you do this?" Belinda's voice shook with anger. "We were all worried sick. You can't just take the baby without letting us know!"

I tried to interject, playing the victim card since she was faking concern I knew she'll never care less if anything happened to my child "Belinda, I didn't mean to worry anyone.
