Someone Wants Me

I tossed and turned in bed, unable to find any semblance of sleep. The pictures of Damien and Belinda played on a loop in my mind, haunting me relentlessly. Frustrated, I decided to break free from the confines of my thoughts and headed towards the bathroom.

The cold water from the faucet cascaded over my hands as I splashed my face, hoping the sensation would wash away the unease that clung to me. But as the droplets slid down my cheeks, the ache in my heart remained. Damien's face lingered, his absence cutting through me like a knife. The love I held for him was a bittersweet burden, consuming my every thought.
