Chapter Thirty-seven: Danica is Missing.

As she sat behind her screen, Helia glanced at Rendall's seat, expecting to see him seated, but each time she did, she got disappointed.

"What's wrong?"

Helia jolted on hearing Dylan's voice and she craned her neck to see Dylan standing behind her. He looked concerned as he watched her keenly.

"Nothing's wrong." Helia feigned a smile as she glanced at him, but he looked skeptical. He shrugged and sat on the seat next to hers.

"Would you be available during the weekend? I wanted us to see a movie together."

"A movie?" She asked and he nodded. Helia stared at his face and she saw that it pleaded for a yes. His eyebrows were knitted in worry that he'd get a no from her.

"I—" she paused. Her head told her to say yes. Except for the space, Nalea was occupying, of course! Nalea was screaming a big no, and her heart told her the same word.
