Eleven: Our Little Secret.

From where she sat, Sofia could see the large outstretched roofs that soared into the skies above Salem. The wind was eerily cold and she held tightly to savor her cup of coffee. Occasionally a passerby would roam across on a phone call, be it the street photographers or just the normal coffee drinkers like herself. It was a peaceful town which was something strange.

However, she moved not an inch as she sat with her legs folded up in her chair. Her hands fell to her keyboard and over the last half an hour, she had pondered on the perfect opening sentence for this book she was working on. An opening sentence that made a point—that was bold and still somehow captured her sense of humor.

It was tough, trying to write again especially with a lot of things going on. Just then an ice cream truck with a whistle drew her out her thoughts and coincidentally, she brought her eyes to Theo who had been just opposite her ever since.
