“So how did you meet my brother?”

Theodore’s voice was thick from the back of his throat—very adenoidal and contrast to how tender his face seemed. He was clearly the youngest of the Baron brothers although he couldn’t be lesser than twenty three years of age.

He had a clean shaven face, unlike Aaron and Oscar and he seemed less uptight to even the way he dressed. He abandoned his bags by her bedside and held Sofia’s hands across his kneeling thighs as he wrapped around a brown bandage. She exclaimed softly but only because of the pain even though he was as gentle as could be.

Small talk like this could easily take her mind of the blood she had already lost and Sofia pushed a heavy lump down her throat. “I knew him when we were kids” Her mind immediately swept back to when she was thirteen in the parking lot next to him, the last day she ever saw Oscar.
