I was glad to be alone again. The sordid conversation with Rose had been mentally draining and it could affect how productive I was going to be today. I had no idea what to do or even how to feel about that whole drama.

There were things to be done and people to protect. If Emilio was right about the impending doom that was to come for all the employees at Renaissance then I needed to work fast. With the ever-increasing appearances of foes, it was certain that I needed more allies on my side.

It was time to call in some big guns.

As I sat at my desk, engrossed in the day's tasks, my phone suddenly rang, jolting me out of my concentration. With a sense of unease gnawing at my gut, I picked up the call, only to be greeted by the trembling voice of my wife, Isabella.
