"What in the hell?" The man facing her snorted, before pushing himself towards the chair. At first, his eyes were not seen as he was facing the woman sprawled on the floor, and when he turned to look at her. His eyes shallows with nothing but red anger.

"I didn't mean for it to go that way." Avery sprawled on the floor, her voice hardening, "Grandfather."

"Clearly, you are of no use." He scoffed, his dark hair which he had gelled all his life seemed to be peeking out with tiny strands of gray.

"I am sorry." She sniffed. "It wasn't my fault. I thought that if..."

"Stay quiet." He was hard, his body tensing, "I gave you just one simple job, Avery, you destroyed it. You made me feel weak!"

"I am sorry again, grandfather, I swear, I never meant for all this to happen." She wanted to do badly, get out of the floor. Her.
