Chapter 49

Dorian tugged her towards a second portal, one designed to take them back to him mansion in the swamps, back to the dark and old house where the stench of blood lingered in the air. Elika followed him obediently, holding her breath as they slugged carelessly into the eerie dark transporter, the distinct feeling of falling surrounding her within seconds. She coughed, squinting as they passed through the other side, still unable to get the hang of travelling in such a brutal and frightening manner; the darkness sending vile shockwaves through her small frame. The animalistic being dragged her towards the kitchen, stalking through the rotted halls as he shook the water from his hair. He burst through an old white door, the paint cracking and fading with time; propelling her into the large space. Like the rest of his rundown mansion, the kitchen was in bad repair, the floors and walls layered with dust and dirt; the once cream wallpaper now black and tattered.
