When Cathy woke up the next morning she found herself still in his arms. Even though she had moved her legs a lot during the night, he remained the way he was. She suddenly felt conscious of her weight pressing him into the couch. There was no way he could have slept through the night when she was pressed up against him like that. But when she lifted herself off him and looked down she found that his lashes – long dark and glossy – feathered across the top of his cheekbones.

But she could sense that he wasn’t sleeping and her suspicion was confirmed when his lips twitched.

Cathy fought her smile and shimmied in his arms.

“Are you comfortable?”

He nodded still closing his eyes.

She didn’t believe him for one second. “Did you get any sleep?”

“I don’t sleep deep.”

For a man like him with his kind of occupation, she could understand why.

Cathy sucked in a breath feeling her entire body come alive once again. She felt so…she struggled to find the word but eventually settled for ‘thoroughly
