It was 4 in the morning when Ted got the call. He had spent the night trying to hunt down who pulled the trigger on Carlos but for the first time in his life, he found himself at a loss. Failure was unusual for him and it was gritting on his nerves so badly that he had begun to snap at Teddy and Max and eventually both men had quietly suggested that he rested while they continued the hunt.

His inefficiency was foreign as it was annoying to him and Ted knew what the source of his distraction was.
