Jasmine
Age fourteen.“So what was so important that you had to talk to me?” Cato asked.I looked over at Ginger sitting beside me at the umbrella table. Winter and Sofia were racing in the pool. Cato sat across from us with the water dripping from his blonde hair, his brown eyes fixed on Ginger's breast. What a damn perv“I will only agree to this marriage on one condition,” I told him.His almost nonexistent eyebrow raises.“Okay, I’ll bite. What’s the condition?”Ginger gives me a reassuring nod and I take a deep breath.“This marriage will only be on paper. You will not be allowed to kiss me, touch me, and most definitely no sex,” I tell him and take a sip of my lemonade. The corner of his mouth raises.“And why would I agree to that? The point of the marriage is that our Lycan genes will make a powerful baby,” He raises his eyebrow up and down as his brown eyes roam my body.Gross!I chuckled because he doesn't know yet that I don’t have the gene Winter does.“I don’t have the gene,” I told him, and pointed to Winter, “My ten year old sister does,”Cato glances at the pool then his eyes land on Ginger.“If I agree to your terms, I’ll get to have any girl I please and you’ll be okay with it?”I nod.“We will be married but live separate lives,” I replied. He shrugs.“I can do that. My father won’t like this but at least the kingdoms will still have the merger and that’s the most important thing. We will rule together and have the strongest kingdom of all,” Cato holds out his hand.“Deal,” We shook on it.“I’ll have my father's lawyer to draw up the agreement. Once it’s signed we can be friends and learn to work together,” I tell him.He nods.“Text me when you have that done,” He stands and walks over to the ledge of the pool and dives in.“That was easier than I thought,” I whispered.Ginger narrows her eyes at me.“Did you see the way he gawked at me? I wanted to throw up,”We both giggled out loud.Since we’re all staying the night at Cato’s place Tyson gave us all rooms Ginger and I sharing a room but I’m using another room's shower to wash the chlorine out of my hair from our swim. The smell in this mansion smells like Tyson Cato and Mia ... .but that faint smell that I’ve smelled on aunt Mia before is all over this place. It smells so good it’s making my mouth water. My throat slightly burns when I walk into a place where the smell is stronger.I smile to myself as I rinse out the conditioner. I did it! I actually did. I talked to Cato and got him to agree on the terms. I was worried that he would refuse and cause trouble for me. If he hadn’t agreed I was planning on telling my parents I was not going to be Queen. I know my father said it was a must that I couldn’t refuse the crown but my mother said if I really didn’t want it I didn’t have to and she would stand behind me no matter what I chose. My mom knows what I've given up to be Queen and she knows the pain that I’m going to feel when I have to give up my mate. Right now I’m just disappointed in myself for hurting my future mate but I don’t feel the bond so it’s not so painful.Mom said that pain will hurt more than anything I can imagine.I wonder if she can place a spell on me that keeps me from feeling pain?Note to self ask mom.As everyone took their seats at dinner and thanks Tyson I had to sit next to Cato.“Did the two of you workout everything?” Tyson asked, the question was toward both of us but he was asking Cato.He nods.“Yes, sir. Jasmine and I are going steady,” Cato announces, and I almost drowned from the swallow of water.Geez, try and warm a girl before you announce something like that.“Are you okay, Jazz?” Cato asked, patting my back. narrowing my eyes I plastered a fake smile.“I’m fine,” I replied, still coughing.“The two of you need to visit each other often so you can work out how you are going to run your new kingdom together,” Cato’s mother Mia said.Mia is nice but she’s so far up Tyson ass you don't know where she starts and he ends.My mother nods in agreement. What the hell.“I agree,” my father says.“Maybe Jasmine can come here with Ginger's company of course and Cato is always welcome at our palace,” he added. You have got to be kidding. I don’t want to come here all the time. Goddess please help me!“Sounds like a plan. What do you two think?” Tyson asked Cato and me.I smile at Cato but my eyes are telling him to say no but he doesn’t. He nods with approval. What’s going on? Cato agreed we will only be a man and wife on paper so why is he agreeing to see me so often? What is this boy thinking?“We think that’s a great idea,” Cato answered.Tyson nods, “it’s settled then shall we play a game of charades?” He asked.Everyone nods and we follow him toward the game room.Tyson freezes when a woman with red hair walks from what only looks like a wall. Maybe a bathroom?“I was just giving….”“You were just leaving,” Tyson cuts the girl off before she could even finish her sentence. The tension between them was thick; she shifted on her feet as her and Tyson had a stare down. That smell. I close my eyes and inhale a deep breath. It’s stronger this time and it’s coming from the redhead that is standing only a few feet from me.Her red hair is shoulder length and her pasty white skin is covered with all different kinds of tattoos. Her fingers have a variety of colors all the way up her arms, and her face has multiple tattoos with bright colorful butterfly covering her left eye. It’s beautiful but I bet it was painful to get.“I’ll be right back. Mia can you show you to the game room partner up and I’ll be there shortly,” Tyson says and gives a short nod to his wife and she nods in understanding. They were saying something secretly with their eyes.Everyone follows Mia to the game room but I fall behind and sneak off behind Tyson. He walks towards a wall and he stands there. What the hell is he doing? It’s a wall it doesn’t……Before I could finish my thought Tyson slid the wall to the side and to my surprise it’s a hidden elevator. Why would they hide an elevator? Where does it go?Tyson stands there in front of the door he keeps looking over his shoulder why doesn’t he just open it? What’s he waiting for?The doors open and Tyson steps onto the elevator and the doors close.Where does that elevator lead? Most importantly, why are they hiding it?The door to the elevator opens and Tyson walks out. He’s Angry.I frowned. What could have gotten him in such a bad mood?“Jasmine?” Mama calls out.I quickly hold my stomach and double over.“Jasmine, what’s wrong honey?” She asks. She’s concerned, I knew she would be, she's always afraid that with any sickness I get it’s my heart acting up.“My stomach is upset. Is it okay if I don’t play the game and lie down instead?”She nods.“You go on up to bed and I’ll check on you later,” She kisses my head and I walk towards the stairs. Once my mom was out of sight I ran over to the wall that’s hiding that elevator.I push it over and expose the golden doors of the elevator. I look around but there’s no button.“How does it open?” I said to myself out loud.My eyes widened when the doors opened and I stepped inside. That smell it’s so much stronger here. The sweet delicious smell has my mouth watering to the point I’m drooling. It’s not moving. What the hell is wrong with this? Again I look around for the buttons but none. What kind of elevator has no buttons? The only thing I’ve noticed was a fingerprint scanner but that was on the outside there’s nothing on the inside. My heart pounds in my chest as the elevator starts to move.JasmineAge fourteen. Why am I so nervous and why is my throat burning? And Goddess why does that strange smell, smell so damn good? When the doors opened the first thing I saw was a living room. And off to the right was the kitchen the walls were a dark shade of gray the cabinets were a dark blue. The dark blue sectional had red pillows on it. Weird color themes that’s for sure. I walked further into the foyer and headed down a dark non-lit hallway. Why is it so dark? The glass door at the end of the hall had an indoor pool behind it with some chairs. It was dark and I couldn’t see much. I opened the door and walked into the room, the chlorine smell masks that wonderful smell of this apartment type place. The pool had some type of led lighting that made the water glow a light blue. I was standing at the ledge and I turned with the sudden sound of the door closing, it was heavy so it couldn’t have closed on its own. A gasp left my lips when white eyes stared directly at me and I too
Dimitrius When first time parents find out they're expecting a baby they take all cautions to baby proofing the house to showing that baby unconditional love. Parents are supposed to love their children no matter what. Werewolves are born with great abilities for hearing, seeing, and shapeshifting and strength like no human could ever possess. If you're a werewolf and you're born with all these things then you’ve got everything needed to be great and your parents will show you off to the world to make your name known but if you're born without one of those things your disgrace. That’s what I am, a disgrace to the Mortaga family name. My parents are so ashamed of me they told everyone that I died after my second birthday. They never bothered to help me when I was struggling to walk, change my clothes or learn how to read and write in braille. I had a full time nanny that raised me until I was old enough to do things for myself. When I was twelve my father Tyson made this whole third f
Staring out the window as we pass by the tall trees that stretch out with most of the driveway. The familiar castle is barely noticeable until you cross over the hill, the forest line is much closer than ours back home. Being the first daughter of the King and Queen a lot is expected of me and sometimes it’s so overwhelming my heart palpitations remind me to slow down. The only upside to visiting here is that I get to see Dimitrius. I haven’t seen since my party last week, since he killed that gawn that attacked me. One of my fathers men found his body in the woods. I was shocked when I learned the man Dimitrius killed was Mancer Seagan, the head warrior. If he was that easy to kill he wasn’t much of a warrior and his students more than likely need to be retrained. I couldn’t say anything to my father when Uncle Bane told him it looks like someone is targeting the kingdom by hitting us in the area that’s the weakest. We used to have strong warriors, everyone feared them, but that was
Dimitrius The good thing that’s come out of being blind is my other senses heightened. Touch, smell, hearing. Every sound bounces off the objects and echoes off the walls and I can pinpoint exactly the direction the sound came from. Jasmine's texting on her phone and the way her fingertips touch the screen it patterns loudly in my ear. It's both a curse and blessing at times. It’s crazy how when the brain knows your vision is shit but it forms different ways of seeing. I can see sound waves from the noise’s around me, I can’t see Jasmine herself unless I tap into my Lycan but the sound waves I can see, it’s like a vibration in my vision that looks blue when a sound is made. Touching, feeling things is what I do mostly to find something if it’s misplaced which is why everything in my house is placed to my orders so I won’t have to search. Using my hands to find something -or anything makes me feel less of man.Her voice is soft like a melody I could listen to all day, as she hums ly
JasmineAge sixteenI don’t get it. My parents told me when I turned sixteen I would meet my wolf but today I woke up to no wolf. I just don’t understand it. Cato is coming by to see me today, to congratulate me on getting my wolf. I haven’t seen him for a few months. He was supposed to show up to Ginger's sweet sixteen party but something happened and he couldn’t make it. Now I’m going to have to tell him and everyone that I don’t get my wolf.Maybe the Mortaga’s will change their minds about the arranged marriage?“Jasmine,” I look up and smile when I see my dad coming over to me. He has a small box, his hand and smile spread across his face. “Happy birthday,” He said, handing me the box.“Open it,” He encouraged.I untie the bow and open the lid. Inside the box were a new pair of diamond earrings….the ones I told my mom I wanted. But even seeing these beautiful earrings I couldn’t feel joy not when my whole world was about to crash and burn.My dad frowns.“Were they not the ones
Jasmine Age sixteen. The whole ride to the Mortaga’s kingdom Ginger never said a word. Cato offered to bring us back to his kingdom so we could get ready for the party, Sofia and Winter didn't stop fighting the whole time and their voices alone gave me headaches of the constant bickering. “You can get ready in your rooms, my mom still has some things to do before the party and she needs my help,” Cato tells us before he rushes down the corridor. Winter and Sofia waste no time in getting up the stairs to get ready, this is the biggest party because Mia has invited so many guests. Thank goddess, the more people the easier for me to slip away. Ginger was still quiet once we were alone in our room. And the silence is killing me but I have a pretty good idea of why she’s acting like this. I’m going to be marrying her mate.Cato doesn’t know Ginger's his mate yet she won’t find this out for another two years. This has got to be painful on her knowing and not being able to share the kno
Since I did a great job at the meeting my father thinks I’m ready to take on a bit more responsibilities at the palace. I’m excited but also nervous that I might screw things up. I want to be better than the leaders before me do things that've never been done before. I don’t want my portrait to be just hung on the wall beside my fathers just because I’m the Queen, I want to earn my place and be hung on the wall of history next to my family before me. I know something big is going down or my father wouldn’t have called for me and Cato to join him and Tyson in his private office. Cato doesn’t seem nervous but then again it’s Cato we're talking about the boy who always has to have things together with his father watching his every move. In my opinion Cato was not ready to be King and the way he’s been running his kingdom has me worried more about the merger with arrogance like his. Cato never thinks before he acts and that can lead us into a war of trouble. “The wedding will be taking
I’ve tried. I really did. But I can no longer sit and be ignored. I’ve tried to talk with Cato about these Rogue king rumors and that’s what I believe they are rumors. But like always Cato ignores me. I’m planning on going to the Mortaga’s kingdom and giving Cato a piece of my mind which is why I’m waiting for uncle Bane to leave his office so I can inform my dad where I’m going. As I wait my phone buzzes and I grab it. It’s a text from Dimitrius when I see his name my heart starts to pound in my chest. He hasn’t been answering my calls or texts and it’s starting to bug me because I have no idea why he’s being a jerk and ignoring me all a sudden. Dimitrius: for the last time Jasmine, leave me the hell alone.A piece of my heart withers and I fight back the tears that’s been threatening to fall. I have had so much on my mind lately that I can’t even think straight he was the one person I thought I could count on, but I was wrong.“Jasmine. You can go in,” Uncle Bane says, and I nod
