35~ The confession

My ears caught the sound of a vibrating phone and my eyes flung open immediately. Was it mine? I pushed my hand under the pillow where I had kept it and found it the vibration wasn't coming from mine.

It had to be Delia's. As I moved closer to get the phone, she turned, making some noises. Her hand got to the phone before me and she checked the caller.

She sprang up, staring dreadfully at the screen. She turned to me but I closed my eyes before she could notice I was awake. She slowly crept out of bed and with one last glance at me, she walked into the small balcony.

Was she planning some kind of resistance against me? Or was that a threatening call? I quietly got out of bed too and walked towards the door leading to the balcony, hiding the sound of my footsteps under the rug.

"Why won't you just leave me and my family alone? I said I will pay you. Don't you get the fact that I'm trying to raise the money?" She asked sternly.

This seems interesting.
