Chapter Thirty Eight.

William and Damian were on the ground floor of the house, and Damian was rummaging through the fridge, jumping up and down to see what was on the top shelves. When once again unable to reach them, the alpha huffed and fell to the ground, stamping his foot on it.

“Shit… Why did they buy such a tall fridge?”

William smiled as he helped move two chairs from the dining table to the white door so he could climb into one and Damian into the other.

“All adults are terribly tall,” said William. "Uncle Dimitri says I'll be like that too when I grow up, so I want to wait for that moment as soon as possible."

“Not all,” Damian shook his head.

"What?"

“Vittorio isn't very tall, and so is Uncle Viktor,” the alpha crooked two fingers. “Dad said it was because one of his immediate family might be short.”

"I do not have any."

"How do you know? You live with your uncle and aunt. What if your distant grandmother was the same height as you are now? And what are you going to do then?”
