Chapter One Hundred and Forty Two

One month had passed now and I was enjoying life with my new little addition. Giving birth was incredibly painful, but it was definitely the best thing I had ever done in my entire life. I certainly didn't plan on getting pregnant, at least not so soon, but right now, I wouldn't wish it any other way.

My body was still aching and recovering. I was resting. I hardly did any other thing, except for taking care of Lorenzo. I wanted to do everything. I wanted to feed him, change him and bathe him. I didn't want him to be given off to nannies and nurses like I was.

He was mine and I would take care of him. He was so vulnerable, so small, and he needed me. I would always be there for him.

So I was sitting on a sofa, in the warm but comfortable living room, breastfeeding my son. He had a ferocious appetite. I had to make sure I ate enough so that I would produce enough for him.

I looked down at his beautiful head of hair. I brushed it so many times with my fingers, just feeling th
