I've had better nights.

I'm still chained up in the basement and lying on the cold floor, praying the burning in my lungs will disappear. My aggression is still over the top, and my body feels like it's been set on fire.

Usually, I sleep through all of this, but I can't relax.

My nose is twitching, and a warning bell at the back of my head tolls to signal danger.

Why?

I haven't figured that out yet, but I think one of the portals in this basement opened out of its own accord.

I could be wrong, but...

GRAAAHHH

Okay, so I'm not wrong.

The roar makes every hair stand on the edge of my body, and I pull at the chains keeping me captive. I can't break them alone, but the air smells like werebear, which means trouble.

I've fought with one of those bastards in my wolf form before, and I didn't exactly win the fight—I won because my pack members helped me.

Werebears are giant, demonic bears with glowing eyes, and now one is on the loose inside my mansion?
